U.S. Helicopters Arrive in Germany to Boost Combat Presence

BERLIN (AP) — The U.S. Army has begun unloading dozens of Chinook, Apache and Black Hawk helicopters at a port in northern Germany so the aircraft can be moved to a base in Bavaria.
German news agency dpa reported Sunday that 94 helicopters and several trucks from the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade in Fort Drum, New York were sent to the port of Bremerhaven.

It’s a counter measure to Putin, and those who don’t think he’s a problem should realize in 2013 every US Army tank was gone. Aviation capability was very low. Now, due to his continued belligerence, reassurance has rolled into deterrence.

I don't think there will be any Joint Operations with the Russians until they get out of Crimea. In addition, that would make the USA allies with Hezbollah, Iran, and Assad. Do you think the public would support that?
Finally, why would we ship all this equipment and platforms to Germany if, as you suggest, the intent is to use it in Syria against ISIL? You want your LOCs short, not long.
