Blacks, women, Millennials – liberals in each sub-group are now led by an uncompromising cadre of the hard left, who through their "mass actions" are attempting to turn the country against Donald Trump and brand him an illegitimate president.
Most Americans are concerned about unvetted refugees from jihadi countries. Those who are Democrats have no say in their party anymore. Obama yanked the party hard left. He personally championed the jihadi movement, be it by trying to install the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt or giving the pariah state Iran billions of dollars and the obsequious Iran deal.
Obama's legacy: Hard-left Muslim-Americans are rising to positions of prominence in the Democrats' grassroots organizations. This alliance between Western socialists and Islamists dates back to the Cold War, but it has gained traction in America since 9/11.
One case, among countless others: The anti-Trump women's march was co-led by an Islamist in a hijab. It is well worth reading the front-page exposé on Linda Sarsour, because she is a leader of so many of the causes that Obama promoted as president: Occupy Wall St., BDS, Black Lives Matter, the Muslim Brotherhood.
After 9/11, Sarsour rose in power by promoting the jihadi fiction of "Islamophobia." The Democratic Party uses this accusation to fight Republican national security measures and accord itself unmerited moral superiority.
Sarsour's Islamic group was a big success. It prevented the New York Police Department from conducting surveillance of Muslim groups and mosques the police suspected of promoting terrorism.

Something new is happening before our eyes. Radicals are completing a takeover of the Democratic Party. Sure, there’s been a lot of mockery among conservatives about hyperventilating Democrats. Pundits point out the obvious: that Democrats screaming that Trump is illegitimate deliver no positive message for working class voters who want jobs and that mobs in black masks are not appealing. Such analyses fall short.
After 8 years of exploiting and enflaming the grievances of identity politics, the Democratic Party is being eaten by the monster they rode to power. Radicals don’t need to be a majority – they never are. They dominate through mob violence, media manipulation and threats. They are now dominating Democrat politicians, not allowing them to “normalize.”
The Los Angeles Times: Democrats in Congress began the year less defiant, with a more tentative, case-by-case approach to an untested new president. They were ready to work with Trump, they said, if he met them halfway. Democratic senators confirmed a few of Trump’s Cabinet nominees without much fuss. Then their base erupted.
The Wall Street Journal: Leftist throngs have been gathering outside Mr. Schumer’s residence in Brooklyn, N.Y., demanding that the Senate minority leader “get a spine” and oppose President Trump on everything.

Sorry about the double post - FR is acting oddly again - but then it does warrant repeating so few understand the forces they are allied with.
A couple observations:
1) the alliance between Western socialists and Islamists goes back further than the cold war; it goes all the way back to WWII... It began with the national socialists in Germany and the Muslim grand mufti.
2) the parties have rearranged themselves into American and Anti-American.

The democrat party survives by selecting dysfunctional groups, certifying them as victim groups, giving them special privileges, defending their every crime, and from the votes and contributions that they give in return.
The same phenomenon happened in Nazi Germany. The Brownshirts were the paramilitary forces who disrupted rallies and shouted at people to keep them in line. They were the Soros henchmen of their time.
The Brownshirts were useful to Hitler for a long time until the "Night of the Long Knives" when Hitler suddenly had their leaders assassinated in a bloody purge.
I'm sure that most Muslims in the U.S. are kind people who mean no harm, but the thought police in their community are controlling them and they can't speak their minds freely.
The sames goes for the students of Berkeley. The vast majority want to be left alone and they care about human rights and the rights of gays and Muslims.
But their free speech is controlled by political correctness and the badgering of brownshirt colleagues who shame them into falling in line.
This is why we must applaud people like Milo who attack the culture of the radical Muslims and Leftists. Milo is not only over the target, the flak he's experiencing is intense.
I saw a short YouTube of Milo last night and the guy's ability to put down the devious media (BBC) is a beauty to behold.

An erroneous assumption.... that "poor Muslims and moderate progressives" are brain-dead, don't have a mind of their own, and can be easily led by "superior thinking" radicals.
Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Why don't Muslims in the U.S. speak out against terrorism? A key reason is the group think and retribution they must pay for breaking away from the pack.
As for the students being brain-washed and strong-armed to conform, my wife saw this directly when she lived in California for a while recently.
I'm not letting these progressives off the hook -- just saying there were a lot of otherwise kind Christians in Nazi Germany who turned a blind eye to persecution that eventually led to the holocaust.
