Morning Joe‘s coverage of President Trump’s press conference of yesterday was predictably apocalyptic. Joe Scarborough and Mike Barnicle asserted that Trump was detached from “reality.”
But the most explosive moment came when Scarborough asked who within the White House will go to President Trump and tell him that he’s undercutting his credibility. When Mark Halperin proposed VP Pence for that job, Mika Brzezinski replied: “it’s not happening. He’s waiting to be President.” Was Mika implying that Pence has adopted a conscious strategy of letting President Trump implode so that he can assume the presidency when Trump is driven from office?

I like Pence but I get a constant nagging vibe about his connection to the Ryan/Reince side of the WH.
Maybe Pence is much more cut throat than I know....but there are definite sides and Pence is more in line with the GOPE side than the Bannon side.

Today’s announcement of a Rove buddy coming in as WH communications director makes me wonder if this another Pence/Reince/Ryan move.
Mika is certainly full of herself. First she refuses to allow Kellyanne on her show because Kellyanne is “confusing.”. Then she walks off the set and out of the building over a slight. Now she claims Trump is imploding and Pence is egging him on. Mika is visibly imploding, incapable of holding herself toether. She will be gone, again, soon.

Well Mika and Joe both left their families so they can shack up together. How stable is that?
On the contrary Morning Schmoh and Meeka, Trump was completely comfortable, at ease and confident. He handled the press like a boss, and really seemed that he was enjoying the encounter. Whereas, Trump was straight-forward and, yes, at times, blunt, he never seemed angry or bitter. In fact, he appeared as good-hearted, several times poking fun with the press in a good-natured way. It came across as Trump having strong criticism of how the press is doing their job, but at no time did Trump seem to be taking things personal. In other words, he handled it like a big-minded leader. BRAVO!!
