French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen canceled a meeting with a key Arab leader Tuesday after he insisted she wear a headscarf.
The National Front leader who is a frontrunner for president was scheduled to meet with Lebanon’s grand mufti, an important cleric for Sunni Muslims, but backed out after it was made clear she was expected to cover her head, Reuters reports.
“You can pass my respects to the grand mufti, but I will not cover myself up,” Le Pen told the press.

My thoughts exactly. Yet I remember when her father won the 2nd round back in 2002 - I was in Europe and my French colleagues were every bit as unhinged as the Democrats are now over Trump. So this election will be a good indication of how much France has changed in 15 years.
Why is it that we are expected to cover up and show respect for their religion and culture, but they in turn are not expected to show respect for our culture and religious traditions???? Why is it only a one way street?????

Bravo. Do not appease and submit to Muslim culture. When they come over to western cultured based countries, they aren’t forced to take hijabs off in respect to western culture and the freedom of women.

When a woman wears a hijab she is accepting that Islam is superior and that Christians are inferior.
She is also accepting the concept that Muslims are entitled to rape non Muslim women whenever they want.
