I’ll take, “Absurd enviro-Nazi predictions that never come true” for $1,000, Alex.
Could be.
Or not.
No, the real question is, how do we stop the fake alarmism about it? And the answer is to stone people like Paul Ehrlich, who have been predicting environmental gotterdamerung for decades now.
Or maybe even more.
Could happen...
I admit I didn’t read it past the title: “Biologists say half of all species could be extinct by end of century”
ONLY IF THAT IS GOD’S WILL. These idiots just don’t believe in God and mistakenly believe that MAN has all kinds of power that WE don’t!
And he spent a lot of his time in the 1970s parroting Ehrlich about overpopulation.
Which is of course why he now rabidly insists on tens of millions of Mexicans being allowed to enter and overpopulate California.
Bi-Polar Jerry, the Mad Geezer.
If Simon were still alive Ehrlich wouldn't dare open his mouth.
I think only “Western” people can be responsible for overpopulation, resource depletion, and the ensuing environmental apocalypse.
I’m not sure why Mexicans (and other Latin Americans) aren’t “Western.” They certainly aren’t African or Chinese. I’m listening to some lectures about South American archaeology, and the lecturer occasional uses “Western” as a category that excludes natives of the Pacific coast of South America.
Those species best get cracking and start evolving. Survival of the fittest don’t ya know...
What Ehrlich never has figured out is that PEOPLE are a Natural Resource!
More Malthusian stupidy
Coming from a “Stanford Professor” no less.
Hmmmm
Find a tattered old copy of Erlich’s earlier book, titled “The Population Bomb.” (late 1960s)
In it he claimed a deadly ice age was coming, and the need to curtail population growth was urgent, as people were about to starve.
He proved later to be entirely wrong. What is different?
Raise taxes. Eliminate federalism. Open borders. Stifle capitalism. De-industrialize the nation. Brainwash children and young adults. Promote fake news. Deny deniers. Regulate energy production. Tax energy consumption. And vote democrat.
Yes. In the end, Ehrlich is just another Marxist hiding behind pseudo-scientific rationalizations for his anti-industrial views.
So what. We only read need cattle, chickens, sheep, horses, oxen, dogs, and cats. Maybe a couple fish.
Aren’t 99 percent of species already gone?
I miss the polar bears. We will still have the bi-polar bears, though.
There won’t be any species left then. I remember the ‘60s were they told us 1/2 of all species would be extinct by the turn of the century.
