Now the JD needs to sue the states that don’t have voter ID.

The title says “breaking” and it seems like it should be in “breaking”, but its not in breaking... :)

I've yet to understand what is broken...

OK, but why? I have never understood the argument that producing a government-issued ID will suppress minority voting. Most states issue these IDs for free. Are the libs arguing that the bare minimum requirement to buy cigarettes or beer is somehow too taxing on “poor”minorities?

“Actually, I would prefer if the Trump Justice Department took a page from the Democrat playbook.

Instead of the Justice Department dismissing this case, Texas should file a motion for summary judgment and the Justice Department should consent to judgment in favor of Texas.”

Please repost this where appropriate.

This is an excellent idea and sets a precedent for whatever comes down the road.

Now the states need to pass laws requiring you to prove you are a citizen before you can register to vote.

Hillary would have done the same (dropped the suit).

That’s why I voted for her.

But, But, I thought “minorities” are all too stupid to obtain ID’s.

I have yet to see any credible proof to the contrary,

Yes, I have been honestly on the lookout for even the slightest hint.

Criminality?
Hundreds daily. That' just locally!

Gee, that’s too bad... :)

Now folk will have to go ALL THE WAY to DMV and get a valid ID.

And they only have four years to do it!! /s

That is what the USA should have—but it would enormously hurt Democrats because they’ll realize how much smaller their true voter base really is.

This is an excellent idea and sets a precedent for whatever comes down the road.

Unfortunately, it will not work in this case since there is a plaintiff other than the Department of Justice (Obama's DOJ just conspired with a plaintiff group rather than filing the suit themselves).

What the Trump Justice Department will need to do is line up some Conservative groups to file suit on a variety of issues so that the federal government can quickly cry uncle and consent to a judgment.

Here is an article on how the liberals have been doing that for years.
