Schwarzenegger spokesman Daniel Ketchell told Politico that the former governor hasn’t ruled out the possibility of seeking a seat in the upper chamber

“Right now Gov. Schwarzenegger’s focus is on using his platform to bring some sensibility and coherency to Washington by fighting for redistricting reform, like we did in California,’’ Ketchell told the publication. “We are keeping all of our options open as far as how we can accomplish that.”

When the Public “Service” Unions attacked and defeated all the Ballot Propositions that Arnold ran on and succeeded to get on the Ballot, he just gave up and mumbled something about the Voter’s will and that was that.

I think he tried, but he had no idea the power those Unions hold here. They spent tens of Millions and every Proposition Arnold pushed went down in flames.

Had those Propositions passed, things would have been better and Arnold may have ended up being an effective Governor. We’ll never know.

In other words, he could have been a Contender, but he just gave up after that Electoral defeat.

That’s how I saw it at the time.

Been here since I was six years old.
Sad to know what CA was then and now see what it has become.

California has become so Democrat, so liberal, that somebody like Arnold may be the only type of Republican to win statewide office in California.

The California Republican party of Reagan has declined in influence and strength. Facts are stubborn things. Reagan couldn’t get elected governor of California today.

I hear you, but the type of Republican we would prefer just can’t seem to get elected in California anymore.

Heck, all statewide elected officials in Calif. from governor on down, are Democrats.

Democrats have a 2/3 majority in both state Assembly and state Senate.

Calif. is a tough nut to crack for the GOP anymore, is all I’m saying.

No.
A third to join McCain and Graham does not improve things.

Arnold really scored big when making a baby with his homely maid while his good looking wife was out of town. That quality should endear him to California Democrats.

Oh definitely.

I am fairly certain that I could not live there.

The only attraction for me would be the outdoor beauty of the area.

Aunode hasn’t aged well. My guess, he’ll run as an Democrat, eschewing his ties to the pubbies and furthering his closeness to Uncle Teddy!

California hasn’t had a senator with an IQ above their waist size in a very long time. Arnie would just continue that tradition.

He and Al Franken would get along great!
