It means that they were dealing in bad faith.

It is Trump who is "dealing in bad faith". He promised the voters to rid us of Obamacare and upon taking office, promptly conspired with Ryan to introduce an even more destructive bill. Now he's attacking those who stood against his bait and switch.

I know many on FR are in love with Ivanka, but I have to say that I get an uneasy feeling whenever I see her involvement. I hear she’s now an official employee and I really don’t care for it.

Ivanka is beautiful and class and the President's daughter. She's also a dedicated NYC liberal. Period.

I can live with that I voted for Doanald Trump with my eyes open. I knew there would be issues galore that I didn't agree with him. I knew that he wasn't a conservative, but rather a populist. And a nationalist. I voted for him because I know he loves this country. More than I can say for at least 2 of our last 3 presidents.

“Establishment Republicans want Trump to fail.”

This be a truth too many are unwilling to accept.

“He’s not sliding away because of bad advice, Trump is just sliding back into his natural state - a liberal New York leftist, after convincing more than half of America he’s something he’s really not.

Remember the tale of the frog and scorpion. He can’t change his basic nature.”

I really hope that you are wrong, but I have a very uneasy feeling. I am not liking what is going on.

Sorry, but the issue is not one of substance, but of process. The Reps had 7 years to develop a consensus on the bill. They failed to do so. They also failed to use the power of the purse despite controlling the House since 2011. The GOP helped make over 100 fixes to Obamacare thru legislation.

The fact is that many Reps, perhaps your Congressman in a "moderate" district, favor mending, not ending Obamacare. It was a useful target to attack politically when they had little power to overturn it. Now that they do, they come up with excuses about a bad bill.

I have read the entire bill. There are lots of good things in it that need to be passed. It is not perfect. Take a look at sections 101 to 251. What's not to like?

Let me get this straight....RYAN screws the pooch by (a) secretly "making" a new bill with NO House members input (instead of starting with one that has already been unanimously passed) (b) putting a false deadline on it so it was doomed to fail (c) refusing to work with his fellow House reps to fix the bill which meant Trump had to do Ryan's job........

And Trump wants to DESTROY the House Freedom Caucus?

I agree with Justin Amash....didn't take Trump long to climb into the swamp with the RINOS since this is a tactic they've used for years to destroy people like the Tea Party members/Freedom Caucus, etc when they've refused to screw over their constituents in the name of the good of the party.

BTW, President Trump, you DO understand there's a push to use Russia, Russia, Russia to have you impeached?

Who would get your job if they could prove you and Pence were conspiring with Russia?

Yep, good luck with climbing in bed with Ryan, Rinos and the Democrats, in order to make your deal. Hope you haven't unpacked your suitcases yet.............

Hannity has many friends in the Freedom Caucus. I’ll have to hear his radio show to draw any conclusions.

But for now ...

I think they want to win something.

What is Trump letting them win?

Anything?

They have numerous zero-pain ideas that would be wildly popular, especially if implemented.

Here’s the thing — the Freedom Caucus is numerous elected officials unlike the plutocracy of the Executive Branch. Many of them have called out Ryan as a liar who never let them engage in the process.

What’s changed? Are all of them as corrupt and dishonest as Ryan?

***No he’s not. He’s goading them back to the negotiating table.***

So insulting them and slandering them is his way of getting them to negotiate? F him. Trump wants HIS HHS Secretary Price to run America’s healthcare. Hell no! He supported Ryancare which gave healthcare to illegals and screwed our Vets. Hell no! So called conservative on here are mad at the wrong people. You should be pissed off at Trump and Ryan.

What’s to negotiate. Bring up Mo Brooks legislation. We are about to find who wants to repeal Obamacare, and Ryan damn sure isn’t one of them. Trump wants to rearrange the deck chairs. He’s not keeping his campaign promise on healthcare.

Is this hard?

He was operating under the impression the GOP had a repeal and replace bill...for years. He found out the hard way that they did not. There is no evidence whatsoever that he “conspired” with Ryan or anyone else on this bill. He trusted him, probably with a shove or two from Priebus. Don’t take my word for it; go back and watch his rallies. He assumed the feckless GOP had this. And they didn’t.

He’s not a dictator, he can’t rid of us of Obamacare all by himself any more than he can rid us of the sunrise coming up in the east tomorrow.

But then again you knew that, right?

Glad you are so well-informed, but the entire House caved during the Gohmert Coup, so that fails to impress me.

BTW ...

What compromises did Trump offer them before dumping this load over their heads?

Living with a bad bill is a lot like being in a bad relationship. It’s better to be alone, without the bill at all, than to be with someone (something) that’s no good for you at all.

Ridiculous? Not even close. It’s now likely.

Trump just tweeted: “We need to defeat conservative members of Congress in 2018.”

I bet you anything a whole bunch of “conservative members of congress” are now thinking about defeating Trump with a real conservative in 2020.
