According to Bolton, Rice had to have a legitimate national security reason to make unmasking, etc. requests of the NSA.
And if she gave what sounded like a legitimate reason when her real reason was political, she's in trouble.
'Legally, we can't spy on Trump and his campaign and unmask Team Trump names and widely disseminate transcripts UNLESS WE CAN INVENT A REASON FOR DOING SO.'
Hence, the 'Trump conspired with Russia' LIE was born!
That makes it real easy. Get a room for Rice, Clapper and Brennan. The first one who coughs up who did what will get immunity, the rest will go to jail for as long as the law allows. People would be squealing real quickly.
The reset of standards for establishing guilt have been changed, under FBI Director James Comey.
We learned this already with his green lighting Hillary and her corrupt ringlings.
When the facts could convict any little guy, he retrieved the off ramp to avoid conviction.
He said she was “careless” but her MOTIVES were not proven suspect. (Paraphrasing)
MOTIVES are the escape hatch. They will be the same for Susan Rice, lost in her quest to protect the security of the nation (but really from Donald Trump).
You should stop being negative,it is self defeating and depressing. Get some sleep and try to have one positive thought.
Her statements to whom? The media? That’s not a crime, in official capacity or not on the surface.
If you can show me where she lied to a Congressional panel or the FBI or DOJ or something then I’ll retract.
To my mind, being exculpatory in nature only disqualifies a witness in the aspect of believability - probably carries more weight in a civil trial versus one that is criminal where the bar is much much higher.
I don’t think that is an outright criminal act, the kind of which I am speaking on which she will be ‘got’ if we can ‘get it’. I think she’s as guilty as the day is long but it will be difficult to prove where she can be gotten. T these people are/were lawyers and Bill and Hill paved the way at ground-prep for subterfuge.
Perhaps you should send that urgent message to the House and Senate Intel Committee Chairmen...and don't forget to include Jeff Sessions and Mike Pompeo in that email.
She is wearing the magical Melanin Cloaking device, which makes her invisible to such retribution, even in the half-strength formulation.
I’ll believe it when I see it.
Some here remind me of Michael Vick’s dogs: they’ve been abused so long they cringe at loud noises.
Obama, Holder, Lynch and their stable of legal sycophants aren’t running the Justus Dept. anymore.
Whomever it was she requested the names from at the NSA or wherever should face the same legal troubles. Everyone and their dog knew she was using the info for political purposes and not for national security.
bttt
Susan McDougal didn’t talk. Susan McDougal is still alive.
Jim McDougal talked. Jim McDougal is dead.
These people are part of an international criminal organization, and they know it.

Yeah, when things get hot, the real powers would not hesitate to have Susie check the treads on the tires of that bus. After all, what do they have on her anyway, that she was sent to perform the Full Ginsburg over the video on the chat shows after Benghazi?
Agree. Louis Lerner was caught red-handed and should be in jail. She’s enjoying retirement. Nothing will happen to Rice even though she’s been caught red-handed too.
No, of course not. Investigate the hell out of her, and the entire Obama administration.
Just stop with the "Susan Rice is in real legal jeopardy" stuff, which is the headline of this article, and therefore of this discussion thread.
I think this is a wildly unrealistic, fanciful idea.
I like to live in the real world, and my words are meant to encourage others to join me in reality.
Do you think I want it to be this way? Of course I don't!
I didn't set up the massive, blatant, obvious, destructive, reprehensible double standard we live under today. It wasn't my idea.
I'm just describing things as they are.
The most we can expect is the public discrediting of Susan Rice, and Obama, and his other flying monkey associates. That will be enough.
But they will never be prosecuted, and never convicted in any court.
They will never admit they were wrong, or express anything approaching to sincere contrition.
They will never express any embarrassment. As this goes on, they will double down, and then triple down, on their assertions that "we did what was right" and "we tried to save the Republic" and "we stood up for America."
You may as well get used to it.
The quote from the article is as follows:
"Remember when the late State Department veteran, Richard Holbrooke, outright called Susan Rice incompetent? Well that wasnt as nearly as embarrassing as when Rice was in a interagency teleconference with some pretty official people regarding Rwandan Genocide and said, If we use the word genocide, and are seen as doing nothing, what will be the effect on the November election?. I am sure President Clintons administration thought the same, but who in their right mind actually says it aloud?"
It should also be noted that Rice and Holbrooke had a very bad relationship. According to several articles, she threw the finger at him during a high level meeting that appalled those in attendance. The fact that she specifically expressed concerns about political ramifications in her above quote, tells me all I need to know about her motives in tracking Trump and his associates contacts. She did it for political reasons, and none other. That's her mindset.
Here is the link to the original article:
I will not dance to the tune they play. There is no rhythm; rather than sing, they just hum pretending to be busy bees. Not until she is actually been, spotted in cuffs, behind bars will it be believed she will pay the price for such treasonous crimes. If BO’B were still in office, he would promote her faster than a stud in the Derby. It wouldn’t be the first time to see such speedy action.
18 USC sec. 1001

(c) With respect to any matter within the jurisdiction of the legislative branch, subsection (a) shall apply only to
(1) administrative matters, including a claim for payment, a matter related to the procurement of property or services, personnel or employment practices, or support services, or a document required by law, rule, or regulation to be submitted to the Congress or any office or officer within the legislative branch; or

Rumor has it that Donald Trump set his mind on running for president after Barack Obama ridiculed him at the White House Correspondents Dinner in 2011. If this is true, then I seriously doubt President Trump is going to let anyone other than Donald Trump write the final chapters of Obama’s legacy.
God bless Bolton.
