A Cook County judge was killed and a woman was wounded in a shooting outside the judge's South Side home Monday morning, a police source said.
Associate Judge Raymond Myles, 66, and a 52-year-old woman were found outside the home in the 9400 block of South Forest Avenue around 4:50 a.m., police said.

Wow, I thought they have to wait until you're dead.
Judge shot multiple times.
Sounds like a gang ‘hit’.
Reminiscent of the 1920’s and 30’s..............
Sounds more like the lady was not the judge’s wife.
Why is a Judge living on Roseland? That area is what we call the 'Wild 100S'. Yes, Englewood and the West Side is bad. But when you get to the 7500 and especially the 100000 blocks. That is the most dangerous area of Chicago
It appears that the judge was sitting by judicial appointment and had not yet stood for election. If he was from a judicial subcircuit district (a mechanism created by the legislature to promote election of minorities to the judiciary), he may have been abiding by the rules requiring him to reside in the area where he would be elected from.
“Reminiscent of the 1920s and 30s............”
Recall a Judge, think Gentile was his name, got shot/killed in ‘family court’ by angry husband...back in the 80s I think..Then to top it off -—>>

Shocking.
“Why is a Judge living on Roseland?”
I had, many many moons ago, a least a dozen Dutch cousins living there. I used to take a bus from Blue Island to go to theaters there...Paid 35 cents for a ham sandwich and cream soda at the drugstore next to the show for a lunch.
Took the ‘l’ down to 55th to go to the museums on weekends..
Coudn’t do any that now....
excellent.
If not the 20’s and 30’s then present day Mehico...
Roseland has its problems, but it has nowhere near the numbers of North Lawndale & Austin, on the Westside, and Englewood on the Southside.
I hate to see a judge taken out...but I’m surprised there aren’t more of these assassinations.
People are just nuts nowadays.
Clearly, this community lacks some organization.
In the full story a neighbor speaks as though she lived there with the judge.

Early riser or a very late night. Hmmmm
Western European cities like Paris and London are no longer the only cities in the civilized world that have "no-go" areas.
There are now MANY such cities in this nation, Chicago is one...and the increase in number will be ongoing..... up, up and away.
Let's face it and let's be frank about the situation...we're losing considerable pieces of our cities and other areas to alien invaders who are settling-in and establishing THEIR OWN principalities, governance, laws, ideologies and cultures.
If we asked Benjamin Franklin today, "Do we have a Republic or anarchy?"....he would still say, "A Republic.....if you can keep it !"

Oh I don't know, this hit seems to have been fairly well organized.
Judge Gentile was murdered in his courtroom by an irate husband in a contested divorce case. The same man also murdered his wife’s divorce lawyer. It all occurred in Courtroom 1601 of the Daley Center. The room is still in use with a memorial plaque on the wall.
