The GOPe want Trump to be a one-term president. This would do it.

Is this another “3D chess/checkers” situation?
That’s the usual explanation to ward off those disillusioned with the first 100 days.

Then shut down the government. No back salaries paid. The savings can be used to help build the wall!

Declare it a National Security priority ending all funding arguments.
To: TigerClaws
Should President Trump be stymied by these people, I’d love to see him Tweet that he is setting up a GoFundMe account to build section(s) of the wall and perhaps even ask some building companies to contribute labor and materials (can he generate a tax credit for that?).
He’s done an end-run on the Media via Twitter, so this tactic would just be more of the same - as well as be a giant embarrassment to Congress.

At least do a piece. I saw the plans for a wire fence...it was awesome. I'm pretty sure there's some unused funds.
The big thing is....a lot of Mexicans are thinking twice before they go border jumping.
To: TigerClaws
House Speaker Paul Ryan, in a statement to The Hill, seemed to concede that border wall funding would not be included in the GOP budget, saying the funds would come at a later date.Uh-huh.
Sorry, but the days of Paul Ryan's "we'll do it later" game are over.
To: TigerClaws
Rep. Mike Rodgers (R-AL) have been vocal in their support for Trumps border wall, proposing legislation with other GOP lawmakers to pay for the wall by taxing illegal immigrants, as Breitbart Texas reported.
Rogers said his legislation is simple, saying in a statement that anyone who sends their money to countries that benefit from our porous borders and illegal immigration should be responsible for providing some of the funds needed to complete the wall. We have already allocated the money.
The illegals cost us as much as a complete coast to coast wall every two years.
We can get the money (again) from the illegals.
Build. The. Damn. Wall.

There is a lot of anti-American sentiment in Mexico, McCain said during a Senate hearing with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary John Kelly. If the election were tomorrow in Mexico, youd probably have a left-wing, anti-American president in Mexico. That cant be good for America. That's what's there now.

Since the wall was already approved and funded, it should be safe to assume(I know) that the money is in the lock box with the SS fund.
Not to worry.

Maybe there will be a separate provision to raise dedicated funds from Mexicans, Mexico and Mexican companies - some mix of off-budget measures like a variety of tolls, fees, duties and surcharges.

President Trump pledged to repeal Obamacare and yet the bill put forth by Ryan was not even close to repeal.
President Trump pledged to build a wall and now Ryan says there is no money for it.
President Trump pledged to cut taxes and it looks like that isn’t going to happen, either.
Most all of these are the fault of the GOP Uniparty eunuchs.
President Trump pledged to end Obamas illegal DACA program and yet it is still operating as if it were law and not something dreamed up by Obama. It has no basis in law and is illegal even if being run by President Trump.
Over 11,000 new illegal aliens have been given work permits since he took office and almost 50,000 renewals have been processed.
It is fast becoming President Trumps illegal DACA program.
