On Sunday, The New York Times ran a piece by Jack Turban, a research fellow at the Yale School of Medicine. Turban says that doctors should begin applying puberty blockers to children who identify as transgender as early as possible. That's because, according to him, "it has become clear that if we support these children in their transgender identities instead of trying to change them, they thrive instead of struggling with anxiety and depression."
Turban uses as his example one 14-year-old girl named Hannah who was born a boy named Jonah. Turban glows: "Hannah is using a puberty-blocking implant and getting ready to embark on the path of developing a female body by starting estrogen. Ten years ago most doctors would have called this malpractice. New data has now made it the protocol for thousands of American children."

Not surprisingly, almost half of these confused young boys end up committing suicide after they realize what they have done.
Liberalism/leftism is a dangerous mental disease.
The harm they cause should be considered child endangerment and prosecuted. Honest unbiased studies and data needs to be collected on all the victims of this mentally deranged method of medicine for long term prognosis and possible punishment of those who pushed it on the young victims.
A bigger question is why are so many more kids gender confused all of a sudden? Think it might be the broadcast and cable TV networks integrating the LGBTxyz lifestyle on every freakin’ tv show on down to the Purple Barney the Dinosaur? Heck; I’d be confused if I had that shoved into my brain at that young and impressionable age between 0 and 21 too.
Where are the men, especially the fathers? Why won't men stand up to defend boys against what can accurately be called a war on boys?
Rhetorical questions. Billions a year spent on prostitution shows where men's priorities are.
"It has become clear"--to whom, and how? Where is the research, the carefully controlled studies, that show that preventing boys from developing normally leads to overall positive outcomes? I'm going to surmise that since the practice is so new (and is an offshoot of the Obama administration's negative effect on the culture), there are *no* studies that adequately document long-term effects. I doubt there are any studies yet that even document short-term effects.
Just because a boy shows interest in some activities that traditionally are "girl" activities does not mean that he "identifies" as a girl. Furthermore, this shows a profound inconsistency on the part of the left. On the one hand, we are supposed to believe that there is *no* innate difference between male and female, that any such perceived differences are culturally imposed. On the other hand, a boy who shows an interest in traditional "girl" activities (maybe he likes fashion, hair, or cooking?) is showing that he "identifies" as female. Yipes! If we truly accept that each child should be encouraged to pursue his/her interests regardless of gender, then why can't a boy show an interest in a historically girl domain and still be allowed to grow and develop as a boy? Not only that, but why are "tomboys" who have always been culturally accepted now pushed to consider themselves "transgender"?
Okay, jumping off my soapbox now. This issue irritates me to no end. I'm glad I grew up before this nonsense--no doubt my habits of climbing trees and playing with slot cars and erector sets would have been the signal to completely mess up my development as a child.
It was Sweden that pioneered “sex change” back in the 60’s. See where they are now.
GLAAD published a study, and it was reported by all the major media last month, that 20% of millenials identify as LGBTQ. This has been a major effort on behalf of the far left, and queer movement, to brainwash children into believing that sex/gender norms are nothing more than puritanical oppression. They are encouraged to accept, celebrate, and question their own sexualities in ways that society would have NEVER allowed in the past. They are ruining our children via schools and social media.
Back when common sense and decency were still part of society these people would be arrested for child abuse!

Exactly, we had a few guys like this when I was in grade school, etc.
They were always hanging out with the girls. I think we even had a few in Home Ec classes. We used to call them “fays”. (grin)
The ones I still know of are perfectly adjusted hetero males with wives and family. All college graduates. Extremely decent, caring men and great fathers.
I could imagine how screwed up they’d be if their parents decided to pump them full of hormones at 12 years of age.
The other day on Facebook I saw a post from a group I belong to. The mother referred to her four-year old as “they” and said “they” wanted to be a boy for the four-year birthday party, but usually dresses as a girl....it was the saddest thing ever.
The mother is the one needing psychiatric help.
She’s manufacturing a pathology in her kid that will allow her to be co-dependent with the child for years to come.

This is insane. The parents should loose their parental rights and have their children taken from them and the doctors should be held criminally liable and lose their licenses.
Ten years ago most doctors would have called this malpractice.
Hampering the natural development of children is way more than malpractice......this shit should not even be tolerated in modern society and these 'doctors' should be put in jail or worse.
