Sen. Patty Murray Statement on May Day Marches
Senator Patty Murray ^ | Apr 29 2017 | Senator Patty Murray

Posted on 05/02/2017 2:51:46 PM PDT by mdittmar

Washington, D.C. – Sen. Patty Murray released the following statement to mark May Day marches happening in Washington state and around the country on Monday, May 1, 2017.

“At a time when our own president is breaking promises to working families, while engaging in divisive rhetoric and causing fear for so many of our friends and neighbors, the 2017 May Day marches have taken on new urgency—and I stand with the many people in our state and across the country who will march peacefully to make their voices heard and who refuse to stay silent in the face of injustice and economic inequality. There’s no doubt that more than ever, many members of our communities—no matter where they come from—need to know they have our support in pushing back against this Administration’s destructive and divisive policies.

“In Congress, I will continue to fight for policies to help working families, and for meaningful, comprehensive immigration reform so we can truly address our nation’s broken immigration system, while doing everything I can to reject the Trump Administration’s proposals that tear families apart, unravel DACA, construct an expensive and ill-conceived border wall, or strip cities and local law enforcement agencies of critical federal funding. I urge everyone to keep standing up and making your voices heard to remind this Administration that this is your country too, and we will not back down.”

Dumber than a brick, and that is giving her too much credit. Boot this worthless, ugly brick out Washington.

Good luck with that. All that the brickheads in the People’s Republic of Seattle see is the “D” next to Sneakers’ name.

There is a saying in the Senate: "The weaker the senator, the stronger the staff." For decades, the strongest staffs belonged to Murray, Mikulski, Boxer and Ted Kennedy. The first three were not the sharpest knives in the drawer, and Ted was drunk most of the time.

Over the years, Patty has leveraged her position on the Senate Transportation Appropriations Subcommittee to bring large amounts of transportation pork home to Washington state, which makes her the modern equivalent of Warren Magnuson. (Maggie had to be drunk to be as dumb as Patty on a normal day.) Patty's staff makes sure that she gets the credit for her pork, and this is why she wins. In terms of money brought home from DC, Patty is a net asset for the state.

She'll be in the Senate as long as she can bring home the pork.

And the second-srupidest person ever elected to the Senate.

I’ll give you a hint who the stupidest senator is: his name rhymes with Cobby Basey, and he’s from Pennsylvania.

She just may be the stupidest person in our government. I know, I know, competition for that title is fierce. But, I think Patty has a real shot as it.

I’m always surprised when she’s allowed to talk.
