The false declaration initially was made when Ronning was four years old. As an adult, he has always paid his taxes, but either only got half of his return or none at all since 2009.

Yes, if he is dead, he shouldn't have to pay taxes. A lot of people probably wish the government thought they were dead.
Could be. . .after all, when the IRS finally gets it that he is alive, they just might kill him, you know, to never have to pay him all those returns AND prove they are never wrong.
I figured that when they found out he was alive, they’d nail his hide to the wall with fines and charges of tax evasion.

We need tax reform in a way that would abolish that abomination.

Yeah! My very first thought, too. If they think you're dead, they certainly can't expect you to pay income tax...or can they?
