Here's an old song I like;
Fedgub shouldn’t be in the education process at all.
I’m not devastated by it, and seeing how the NEA is teaching our children anything at all, I don’t care if they have no money whatsoever.
Starve.
This woman, President, NEA. Lily Eskelsen García, doesn’t understand that we want her to go away.
5.56mm
That’s what I want. Devastation.
Another sow snorting that the trough might be leaner.
The Federal Government has no business being involved in education and certainly not in using federal tax dollars for it!
1. Whatever money doesn't go for salaries and operations, send back to the states in proportion to the amount of income taxes that come from each state
2. Implement hiring freeze
3. Implement scanning/recording tools on all computers
4. Give most (now useless) employees little to do
5. When they use a computer for non-governmental purposes (which they eventually will) then give them a choice of retiring or being fired for malfeasance
6. As the number of employees dwindles, end leases, sell buildings, and co-locate the remaining core
Overtime you could get to something close to 95% of the budget being returned back to the states from whence it came. The DOE would still exist, but it would have little or no effect on education policy or overall government debt.
Faux News strikes again
Trump wins again!
We’re supposed to believe the NEA? Don’t even go there!
It’s a start.
Follow the money. . .text book companies, testing agencies, contractors, technology contracts, useless conferences and workshops, nonsensical curriculum, inept state departments of education, unnecessary technical assistance, inordinate amount of paperwork, senseless rules requiring costly enforcement, etc. etc. etc.

Both estimate living costs (rent, personal expenses, transportation, health insurance, etc) at another $10K a year (non-campus living). That’s $1,000 a month or a part-time job share of cost. What’s the beef?

Looks to me like a lot of duplicative programs that haven’t been proven to deliver anything...neither has Title 1 funding.
GOOD!
There's no "education" going on here, except for teaching us that it costs a lot of money to babysit "the children".
