My business, my rules.

Don’t like ‘em—Go someplace else.

That’s the free market.

Holy moly, it sounds good to me. It should minimize the riff-raff! Props to the bar owners/managers.

I’m old enough to remember, when girls had to wear dresses to school. Boys had to wear nicer pants and shirts with a collar, no t shirts allowed.

And both boys and girls were expected to wear nicer shoes; tennis shoes or running shoes or the like were not permitted.

Maybe a bit off topic, but the whole area of dress codes has fallen by the wayside in recent decades.

Remember when people used to dress up to go to church?? Seen any of that lately, unless it’s for a wedding or funeral, perhaps??

I think this code helps create a pleasant atmosphere in their establishment. Just waiting for someone to say somehow it’s a civil rights violation to expect your clientele to behave or dress a certain way.

Reminds me of when I noticed that convenience stores in upscale areas have very high prices on cigs like Newport and Kool.

"If denied entry, changing your appearance will not change the decision."

Then it's not really a "dress code", is it? That particular statement could be problematic, IMHO...

No camo? Well, they’re certainly not going to be getting my business. I’m not going to worry about it though, from the looks of the joint they probably don’t have PBR on tap any way.

They have the right to make those rules. But the left has taken that right away. There is no more private property. Everything belongs to the collectivity.

The owner didn’t mention race.

Okay. I’ll give them that the sign was a little to wordy, with details that depict the minorities occasional code of dress being *out* and the white guy’s dressing habits, *in*.

Why not just say suit and tie required? The owner could fudge the requirement anytime he wished, but at least the Rules would start at the top of maximum dress code and keep out the riff raff.

Anyone with a problem with this dress code can simply refuse to patronize the establishment. The free market will,in time, tell whether the owner made a wise decision or not.

“...where it received more than 400 comments from people who debated whether the dress code was racist or classist.”

It’s just silly, snowflakes. It says case-by-case, subject to change. It’s a joke. No humor allowed in liberal land.
