Dems are actually online saying Trump expecting “loyalty” is an impeachable offense.

These folks are nut.

I just read most of it — nothing there.

No surprise.

The most glaring questions I have are:

1. Comey documented every meeting with Trump, but never his two meetings with Obama. Why was that?

2. Over and over Comey makes a point about the arms length between the DOJ/FBI and the President that must be maintained. How come he never saw how the DOJ was used by Obama as a political force the whole time he was FBI Director under Obama. Never a peep from Mr. Clean then.

Comey will tread a line tomorrow—damning Trump while leaving no fingerprints of his own on the attempt to overthrow the duly elected President.

Funny how Mr. Pure-as-the-Driven-Snow was not worried when he overstepped his bounds to declare Hillary innocent due ta lack of intent, nor did he criticize his AG, Lynch of meeting on the tarmac with the husband of someone under investigation. No, we are not supposed to notice that.

Plus we are hearing one side of the story, from someone who already is under suspicion of being in danger of perjury, that is Comey.

This reads like a romance novel. Comey is a drama queen.

Anyone believe this crap?

I felt compelled to document my first conversation with the President-Elect in a memo. To ensure accuracy, I began to type it on a laptop in an FBI vehicle outside Trump Tower the moment I walked out of the meeting. Creating written records immediately after one-on-one conversations with Mr. Trump was my practice from that point forward. This had not been my practice in the past. I spoke alone with President Obama twice in person (and never on the phone) – once in 2015 to discuss law enforcement policy issues and a second time, briefly, for him to say goodbye in late 2016. In neither of those circumstances did I memorialize the discussions.

This statement totally exonerates President Trump. It tells 3 occasions where Comey told Trump he was not a target of investigation.
It also says Trump did not try to obstruct the investigation.

Winning!

He has a one on one conversation, supposed to be in confidence, nothing obviously untoward, and his reaction is to blab to others in his professional orbit. And to write a memo. And only for Trump. Not loyal. Building a case. Trump was under criminal investigation in all but the filing formalities.

Stock market shoots up after lagging all day.

Headline mocks that Comey’s testimony reads like a romance novel.

He proves Trump saying he was told 3 times!

Nutjob!

Comey felt compelled to start keeping memo’s only because he realized he was now working for someone who was going to hold him ACCOUNTABLE for his actions. Purely CYA.

The #1 takeaway from Comey's opening statement is that he did IN FACT tell President Trump three times that he (Trump) was not under investigation by the FBI.

Question: Where's the Comey Memo? Anyone seen it yet?

So Trump was right. Comey did tell Trump 3 separate times. Nothing burger. MSM just went limp.

I’d like a real prosecutor to go after him.

Waited to release this because Trump was getting good press this morning.

Flynn was fired because he did not tell the VP the truth. Comey did not tell his boss, Attorney General Sessions the truth and he was later fired. Pattern?

Shortly afterwards, I spoke with Attorney General Sessions in person to pass along the President’s concerns about leaks. I took the opportunity to implore the Attorney General to prevent any future direct communication between the President and me. I told the AG that what had just happened – him being asked to leave while the FBI Director, who reports to the AG, remained behind – was inappropriate and should never happen. He did not reply. For the reasons discussed above, I did not mention that the President broached the FBI’s potential investigation of General Flynn.

The Third time Comey confirmed, although by silence, that Trump was not being investigated.

On the morning of April 11, the President called me and asked what I had done about his request that I “get out” that he is not personally under investigation. I replied that I had passed his request to the Acting Deputy Attorney General, but I had not heard back.

In Comey's version, Trump was this big, bad powerful man asking for loyalty and favors, as if he was a Mafia don.

Yet, Comey claims he never agreed to any such favors-supposedly as a way of showing how much integrity he had.

But, if Comey really did feel so much pressure, why did he feel he had enough power on his own to stand up and not give in to the President? He must have felt as much or more powerful than the president, and if that's the case, there really wasn't much pressure, was there?

It looks as though on one hand, Comey wants to portray himself as a sort of victim (maybe to appease the Never Trumpers, who are his friends); but on the other, his arrogance demands that he shows the world that he cannot be pushed around. So, he's basically made up the idea of Trump trying to influence him, so he can make himself look like a hero.

Good thing this guy was fired, he comes across as a real backstabber- the kind that are all over Washington.
