Study seeks 'more complete and nuanced understanding of climate change denial'!
The National Science Foundation is funding a doctoral dissertation on "climate change denial."
The University of Kansas was awarded $12,000 for the research, which began on June 1. The research seeks to find a "more complete and nuanced understanding" of individuals who are skeptical that human beings cause climate change.
The dissertation focuses on two parishes outside of New Orleans, along the Mississippi River, and claims that residents who work in the oil industry "exploit the local environment."
"The study will investigate residents' attitudes on climate change and assess the relationship between these attitudes and local environmental policy," according to the grant for the study. "This region is of specific interest due to the unique configuration of social and environmental factors that impact the community, including environmental risk, economic dependence on extractive industry, high rates of climate change denial, and high concentration of oil and gas employment."
The researchers seek to prove that people who do not believe in man-made global warming are driven in part by their emotions.

Your tax dollars at work.
“To prove that [your belief] in man-made global warming [is] driven in part by [your] emotions.”
Who did the awarding and why do they still have authority?
What form of transportation did the researchers use to get from the University of Kansas to the two parishes outside of New Orleans? I’ll bet you $20 it relied upon oil.
The University of Kansas is a big center for environmental studies and environmental history ever since they hired Dr. Donald Worster in 1989.
Worster was not an environmental wacko. Some of his students are, however.

Trump should sign a EO that outlaws the use of fossil fuels for any and all climate change studies.
Noting that the ill-conceived 17th Amendment must be repealed, that amendment effectively repealing the whole Constitution imo, it remains that the states have never expressly constitutionally delegated to the corrupt feds the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for politically correct global warming purposes.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
Drain the swamp! Drain the swamp!
Remember in November 18 !
Since Trump entered the 16 presidential race too late for patriots to make sure that there were state sovereignty-respecting candidates on the primary ballots, patriots need make sure that such candidates are on the 18 primary ballots so that they can be elected to support Trump in draining the unconstitutionally big federal government swamp.
Such a Congress will also be able to finish draining the swamp with respect to getting the remaining state sovereignty-ignoring, activist Supreme Court justices off of the bench.
In fact, if Justice Gorsuch turns out to be a liberal Trojan Horse then we will need 67 patriot senators to remove a House-impeached Gorsuch from office.
Noting that the primaries start in Iowa and New Hampshire in February 18, patriots need to challenge candidates for federal office in the following way.
While I Googled the primary information above concerning Iowa and New Hampshire, FReeper iowamark brought to my attention that the February primaries for these states apply only to presidential election years. And after doing some more scratching, since primary dates for most states for 2018 elections probably havent been uploaded at this time (March 14, 2017), FReepers will need to find out primary dates from sources and / or websites in their own states.
Patriots need to qualify candidates by asking them why the Founding States made the Constitutions Section 8 of Article I; to limit (cripple) the federal governments powers.
Patriots also need to find candidates that are knowledgeable of the Supreme Court's clarifications of the federal governments limited powers listed above.
Son graduated from KU back in the time it was a reasonably good school. Has told his own son, who will be college bound in two years, to not even think about going there. Seems to be where all the libs have landed in the last few years. They should just stick to basketball and get out of the environment and gay rights issues IMO.
How about a study that finally shows that sociologists and psychologists and their ilk are a bunch of charlatans.
KU was always more liberal than the rest of Kansas (including K-State), but it has really become liberal in the last few years. There’s plenty of craziness there. I’m surprised there’s not more violence. http://www.kansascity.com/news/local/article45084999.html
