I think that people forget that Obama has a glass jaw. In the 2008 campaign, he could not handle criticism. His phalanx in the media protected him so that no serious blows landed. Trump throws haymakers, and one may just shatter Obama’s glass jaw.

If Obama broke the law he should be prosecuted. Same as Hillary or Lynch or Comey.

For the president to instead blast them or whine about them on twitter works against such cases and signals that he has no intention of enforcing the law against them anyway.

From illegal spying to the IRS crushing the tea party to the Clinton Foundation bribery slush fund—there is much to be prosecuted and simply having the president tweet about it kills any cases he might possibly have thought about taking seriously.

On some level he still seems to think if he goes along enough they will get along with him enough.
