Single parents of little means are put in desperate situations. Cant lose job. Babysitter calls in sick. Or quits. Employer not real flexible. Its a horrible position to be in.
The molestor should have had a shotgunectomy.
1) Why call the police before the creep gets a more thorough beating?
2) Internet security camera and/or baby monitors are dirt cheap. Hell, I use mine just to check my garage door is down. If I was leaving a baby with anyone I would have cameras (plural) running and recording.

people need to be careful of who they invite into their homes when they have kids, so yeah, what were they thinking????
The babysitter needs to die but as the mother of 5 (all grown), I would never let a male babysit my kids. Flame away, I don’t care.
You're right. Sometimes people don't have lot of options.
Funny, after I posted my comment, I remembered a single event over 20 years ago when I was about the same age and I was asked to babysit an infant girl. Her dad was a close childhood friend of mine and they really needed someone quick for a couple of hours.
No big deal. It only becomes a big deal when the babysitter turns out to be a pervert.
