A majority of “white America” are descendants of people who came to America during the great waves of European immigration from 1880 to 1924. Over a hundred million white Americans trace their ancestry to immigrants who passed through Ellis Island, which didn’t open until 1900. Most white Americans are descendants from people who came to these shores long after slavery was extinguished.
The indictment of all white people for the evil of slavery because they share skin color with slave owners is an indulgence in absurdity. We are told not to judge all Muslims as terrorists or all blacks responsible for the crimes of individual blacks. Yet, for whites, the collective guilt is unending. It is propagated in our universities under the now theological dictates of white privilege and white guilt.

The left judges the West by one of its worst sins, slavery. But Western civilization did not invent slavery. Many Western countries did not practice widespread slavery. Some countries in the West that had slavery abolished it peacefully or fought themselves over it.
Meanwhile, the left idolizes Islamic countries that still practice slavery! Countries that still enslave black African men, women and children! The left denies this or is not bothered by it at all! And they claim to value human rights but most leftists celebrate Castro and Mao and sometimes even Stalin.

I so get tired of this kind of situation. What if he had not been married to a black woman? Then the charge of racism would stand? In this society a white person can be called a racist with no substance or basis for the charge. Then, the only way the white person can refute the claim is by identifying some connection to a black person or the black community. It is not possible to simply retort on the merits of the argument. We always talk about how we have to have a dialog about race (ie Eric “Nation of Cowards” Holder). But the mere mention of it by a white person gets you branded a racist. I am 50 (17 years on this board to my recollection). I always thought we would have this race thing resolved in my lifetime. Starting to lose hope in that idea.

Very good point.America was an experiment and unprecedented in its time and is still the example of what a country should be albeit imperfect. The rest of the world is, in a majority sense, a failure. There is a great effort to pollute our country with this failure to equal the rot of the third world and globalist ambitions of a world order.
