Hmmmm. Okay. But, white folks have been benefiting regardless. Or not. The opportunity to learn these things has been cast aside because it doesn't fit someones agenda. As for my ancestors, they arrived in upstate NY in the late 1600 early 1700's and some fought in the revolution and later fought in the Union army during the civil war. How much guilt do I carry? ZERO!

Muslims should feel guilty. They still enslave people. Hint BLM: Zanzibar.

... should white European Christians condemn all Muslims for their role in the enslavement of white European Christians? Should the Europeans of the Southern Mediterranean demand reparations from Muslims for the enslavement of their ancestors? Should our universities teach courses about Muslim privilege punctuated with generous citations from the Koran? Universities offering majors in 'Grievance' should be denied all federal funding for the University and all government financial help for their students.

The assertion that the white race advanced at the cost of other races is absurd on its face. Even if we concede that whites rose to sufficient power to exploit other races, how do you suppose they got that power to begin with? The answer? By being superior to begin with.
Yes, whites enslaved blacks. Yes, Europeans destroyed native cultures in the New World. Yes, western imperialists exploited the natural resources of other countries they subjugated.
And who was weak and stupid enough to let them? Blacks. Natives. Undeveloped nations. Do you think that if they were the equals or superiors of whites, they would have permitted such offenses?
History records the endless progression of the stronger over the weaker. White culture has surpassed nearly every other culture on earth in its ability to create comfort, safety, and wealth for everyone ... including itself. There's nothing there to apologize for.

How many open-border snowflakes are even aware of the history of Muslim slave trading? I would guess near zero, and the ones who ARE aware would no doubt quietly sweep it under the rug, as I doesn’t fit their agenda.

You're asking some Liberal with an agenda to stop and think before they speak. Not going to happen. When I was in grad school, I heard Robert Fogel speak on his (Nobel Memorial Prize winning) book,
Time on the Cross. It was a two-volume work with the first an easy-to-read narrative and the second the theory and data to support the narrative. In essence, Fogel showed that slaves were
economically better off before the Civil War than after.
After his talk, a black reporter stood up and said: "You are a racist!" Fogel calmly asked if he had read the book. The reporter had not read either volume, and said: "I don't have to read the book to know you're a racist!"
At that point, a black lady near the front stood up and said: "Sit down, Sonny. You don't know what you're talking about." The reporter got irate and literally screamed: "Who are you to tell me to sit down!"
Her response: "I'm Dr. Fogel's wife, so sit down and shut up."
...crickets...

I never owned any slaves.
Blacks currently residing in the US never picked any cotton.
End of discussion.

LOL. Our family histories are similar. The "Yankee" side arrived in 1633, one signed the Declaration of Independence and served in Washington's cabinet. Many others fought in the Revolution. One of the proudest family artifacts is an officer's sword from the Civil War (Union). I didn't have the heart to tell my relatives that our family also bought some of the first slaves that landed in Boston.
The southern side got here slightly later, but still pre-1700 (by way of Georgia). AFAIK, the southern side never owned slaves, but some did fight for the South.
So how do I calculate my supposed guilt????

I have no guilt over things that other people did. Guilt does not jump from one light-skinned individual to another. Liberalism is $hit.

Slavery- owning another human being- was horrible.
It still exists in many countries, but not here.
None of my ancestors owned slaves- in fact they fought and died to have our slaves freed.
I feel no guilt.
