Ivanka Trump takes her father’s seat at world leaders’ table during a G-20 meeting

HAMBURG — President Trump's daughter and adviser Ivanka Trump has an expansive portfolio in her father's administration. But on Saturday, she literally took his seat at the table at the Group of 20 summit.

The first daughter was spotted slipping into Trump's seat at a working session on “Partnership with Africa, Migration and Health,” putting her shoulder-to-shoulder with British Prime Minister Theresa May. Russian President Vladimir Putin was sitting one seat down.

Trump's presence at the high-level table was somewhat unusual, given that government ministers or senior officials are typically the ones called to stand in for heads of state at such sessions. But she is both the president’s daughter and an unpaid “assistant to the president" who focuses on issues of women's empowerment and workplace development, but maintains broad influence in the administration.

They should be pleased that he sent the most left-leaning member of his administration to a meeting on “migrant” issues.

Maybe it should.

This is a little too much.

It's time for Ivanka to bow out of the presidential spotlight.

If she wants to be involved in politics let her run for office.

Her home city and state, New York, could definately use some help.

Because presidential staff members are always elected to their jobs, right.

He can appoint whoever he wants to work for him, you ninny. Like all other presidents.

The fact that she is a family member might be an issue (not to me) but not that she’s unelected.

This is no different than Cankle-Hubble zygote Chelsea edging her way into the political landscape, or The Cankle herself entering politics on her husbands bent penis.

Trumps children are more than qualified.

Calling Vlad The Inhaler a "ninny" because he (she?) has a different point of view than you do on this situation is ridiculous.

First of all, the issue is not about who the President can appoint or even if appointing a family member is wise. The issue is whether or not someone so patently unqualified should be sitting in for the President at such meetings, however briefly. We have a Secretary of State and deputy secretaries of state for a reason. We have far higher level appointees in the White House.

Nepotism is nepotism no matter what gloss some might want to paint over it. Nepotism is frowned on in business and government for multiple sound reasons.

May not bother you but Trump said his family would not be part of the administration and yet she is now one of the most prominent. I don’t care if she is elected or not. I do care that she is very liberal and has brought Jamie Gorelick, Dina Powell and Cohn into the WH. I voted for conservatives not old liberals.

I recognize I will get blasted for questioning her but I think Trump is letting his heart overrule his head where Ivanka is concerned.

Go back and read the original post. He clearly stated the problem is “unelected”. If you’re not going to read the posts, fine. Argue with yourself. That’s always fun.

Judging with the attitude and lack of support from his own party, who can Trump trust outside the family? If he could, he might use them. But as the “conservative” cowards turn on him to protect their income based upon votes and a crooked media mislead, at least he’s got someone looking at his six he can trust.

And none of that was appropriate either.

Nepotism is nepotism no matter the polirtical party of family name.

That’s fair. I don’t agree with you but I see your point. I was objecting to “unelected”.

How does that rule work?

It’s not a very strong name. I was reacting to your illogic.

I’m sorry I called the Great Vlad a name.

Mea Culpa.

Anyway,

He can appoint whoever he wants to work for him, Oh Great And Wonderful Poster.

I am so thankful we have such a brilliant pro-American president. Like Limbaugh said recently, Trump is the laser light the elites can’t catch lol.

“We have a Secretary of State and deputy secretaries of state for a reason.”

Come back to planet earth. I bet the attendees would much rather listen to Ivanka than some low level bureaucrat. The bureaucrats are not elected either.

Well if you do not like it then then that is your problem. You trust him but not his closest confidant in the world? If she is such a leftist, then why is she helping her dad to carry out one of the most conservative agenda we have seen since Reagan? This is what the leftist want....to divide and conquer. Name one thing Ivanka has messed up in Trumps agenda????......Bueller?......Bueller? I rest my case.

The only restriction I am aware of are relatives to Cabinet positions, imposed because of the Kennedy brothers.
