Another chicago idiot.
For some reason I am reminded of a small scene in the Amazon TV Series "Man in the High Castle" (based on the Philip K. Dick novel).
A motorist breaks down on the highway somewhere in America, and a cop comes along and helps him. The cop is wearing a Nazi uniform -- because, you know, the Germans won WWII and took over the eastern half of the US (Japan got the western half). The cop might look a little scary, but he's the nicest guy in the world. Typical "Andy Taylor" sort of police man. Helpful, friendly, fixes the guy's car, makes pleasant small talk, gives the guy a sandwich. It's a beautiful scene about what a wonderful place America is.
Then, something like snow starts falling. But it's summer time. The motorist is confused and says, "What's this?"
The cop just gives him a pleasant, disarming smile and says very simply: "It's Thursday. That's when the state hospital burns the old people and the defectives. Well, have a nice day!"
Oh. Yeah. Germany won WWII.
Pomous? Dumb broad has no idea what that word means.
Battle number? Damn straight it is. Real Men (and Women) know that battle is how we wrested this country from foreign tyranny, and how we kept it free of foreign tyranny. Pieces of subhuman filth like this author want to replace foreign tyranny with domestic tyranny. A plague on them and their kind.

More childish temper tantrums. He only disses the National Anthem because his candidate did not win the election.
Pompous battle number? What do you call over paid, trash talking athletes who attempt to demean their opponent? In comparison, the anthem is pretty mild.

Kaepernick does not care about treasure, as he demonstrated when he single-handed took down the NFL's ratings. Goetsch, as a Chicago Tribune writer, does not care about blood - look at how indifferent they are to Chicago's daily violence except as it supports their far-left political agenda. They are free to say and do what they wish, and we are free to make sure not one cent of our money goes to the NFL or the Tribune when they do so.
