Colin Kaepernick is likely being blackballed, according to ESPNs Adam Schefter. There have been plenty of other reasons and excuses provided by NFL teams to explain why the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback is still a free agent, but Kaepernicks protests from the 2016 season loom large.
In a Thursday morning appearance on ESPN Radios Mike and Mike, Adam Schefter said he believes that NFL owners have tried to keep coaches and front-office personnel from going after Kaepernick.
Do I think that certain owners have blocked teams from visits or interest? I do, I do believe that, Schefter said. And I think that there has been more interest in him from the coaching and front office level than there has been at the ownership level. So it was always going to take a unique opportunity for him to be brought in, in the right place, at the right spot, at the right time.
Many others believe NFL owners have halted general managers from signing Kaepernick, but Schefter is one of the most connected reporters in the league and one of the few to actually say that owners are likely the reason Kaepernick is still a free agent.

Anybody who hates this country can go to hell.
Isn't that racisss?
Seriously, these NFL owners are businessmen first, Kaepernick is radioactive to most fans.
Revenue would be lost by signing him.
Good, let this be a lesson to the other NFL SJW's.
Hire Colin Kaepernick? Who is dumb enough to trouble trouble?
Every celebrity should take note. Do the job you’re paid to do and don’t get political. No one cares about your opinion, just your God-given talent.
“I am sure theres a downtown SF Shoeshine Stand that has an opening!
Those guys have a skill and are willing to work long hours.
Colon has no skills nor good work habits.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Sucks to be him...oh, well.
Kraperdick pissed all over the country and football fans in particular. No one should be surprised that he is not wanted now. Let him enjoy his newly chosen career as “community organizer.”
He loves Cuba, Che and Raul Castro.
So he can go to Cuba and start a new Pro football team and welcome BLMers, rapists, robbers and rectums like himself to try out for his new team.
He’ll blow through all his money in very short order. This guy’s gonna end up broke and owing money he’ll never pay.
I said in January and it’s still true: we went into this off season with 4 big name QBs looking for a job (or suspected to be looking for a job soon in January): Romo, Cutler, Kaepernick and RGIII. Of the 4 Kaep is either the worst or second worst (RGIII injury problem could make him worse), and none of them have a job, 2 retired, the other 2 haven’t gotten the memo. It ain’t blackballing if you really just aren’t very good.
The grandstand food vendor boss: "Kaepernick! Get off your damned knee and sell those peanuts!"
Ah, there’s the word at last: Consequences. Yup. Them dang consequences.
I do find it revealing as to the number of sports “commentators” who apparently feel that a correct set of political opinions obligates the world to provide a microphone regardless of actual job performance. Sort of makes you wonder what standards they’re applying to their own.
Answer: "Eh?"
You have to actually be able to throw a majority of COMPLETED passes in the CFL.
Mr. “I make millions per year but am oppressed because of my coloUr” wouldn’t make the cut.
Yes, he is being black-balled ... by the fans. We don’t want him. His lack of talent on the field is only excelled by his lack of sportsmanship on the sideline.
I posted some pics of him not kneeling years before the fiasco proving he was flat out too lazy to kneel. Notice he had no reason until months later when his gf or whomever provided the excuse for him. Combine lazy with dumb, poor player and a distraction, it’s no wonder he’s not wanted.
Question is, is he dumb enough to seek out Obama's endorsement?
