The surprising statistic suggests that for many, LGBTQ sexual orientation is not a fixed identity, but rather something that fluctuates.

Remarkably, research shows teen who identify as lesbian have significantly higher pregnancy rates than their heterosexual peers. I know what you’re thinking, but it’s true. It’s also true for teen gay males: they are substantially more likely to impregnate their sexual partners than are heterosexual males. The dramatic disparities are explained in these graphs from the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Numerous studies across many nations find that sexual-minority youth aged 14 to 19 have pregnancy rates two to seven times greater than their heterosexual peers. And their pregnancy rates continue to rise at a time when the overall teen pregnancy rate is declining in the United States.

I realize I entirely ignored the precise subject of the article.

I’ll go out on a limb and say a girl sleeping with a bunch of guys and getting pregnant isn’t really a lesbian and that goes double for “gay teens” knocking girls up, little queer boys want nothing to do with girl parts, give me a break.

Maybe culture should stop confusing kids and encouraging them to think they are gay.

The “questioning” or homosexual teens are still sleeping with the opposite sex in addition to the same sex but less likely to use birth control when they do. Hence the higher pregnancy rate from the relatively fewer interactions that could result in pregnancy.

This makes sense in a perverse sort of way. When you perceive all sexual boundaries are down, then all sexual boundaries ARE down.

Maybe sexual orientation is not something fixed at birth like race, contrary to what we have been constantly lectured.
