You aptly depict a further tragedy, once the island has tipped: Sharks!

I'm sure many of those deployed would be African-American — and as we know from another illustrious representative a few years ago, over 2 million of his ancestors were lost during the slave trade in the oceans to predatory sharks who followed the transport ships; undoubtedly since then, they have been on the prowl for fresh meat, and are lying in wait for such a disaster to happen…

Believe me, once he got out of the witness chair and was on his way back to the Pentagon, he laughed his butt off, along with the aides and staff officers who accompanied him to the hearing.

I’m also guessing someone in audio-visual at the five-sided building gave the admiral a DVD with the testimony, and he still has a copy.

Actually, as Black Congressional Dems so, Johnson is not that bad. Saw him multiple times in DC. Drunk every time. Even at the National Prayer Breakfast.

If you really want the dregs, there is always Maxine Waters or Shelia Jackson Lee (known in DC as Flying Saucer Head for her habit of wearing bling tiaras on the House floor.

The best one flies under the radar however.

Congressman Alcee Hastings was a federal judge in Florida who was impeached by the House in 1998, 413-3, for taking bribes. In 1992 he was elected to Congress from a Gerrymandered district in Miami. He has “served” in the House since.

Hastings is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus and was elected president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe in July 2004. Today, as a senior Democratic whip, Hastings is an influential member of the Democratic leadership. Hastings is also a member of the powerful House Rules Committee and is a senior member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI). On the HPSCI, Hastings is the chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.

He was one of the 31 who voted in the House not to count the electoral votes from Ohio in the 2004 presidential election.

On September 24, 2008, Hastings came under fire for comments he made regarding Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Hastings, speaking in Washington D.C. to a conference sponsored by the National Jewish Democratic Council, said “If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention. Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through.”

In May 2009, the Wall Street Journal reported that Hastings spent over $24,000 in taxpayer money in 2008 to lease a luxury Lexus hybrid sedan.

In June 2011, a lawsuit filed by one of his staff members, Winsome Packer, alleged that Hastings made repeated unwanted sexual advances and threatened her job when she refused him. A congressional ethics panel investigated these claims. Hastings denied the claims and called them “ludicrous.

In 2012, Hastings was ranked 1 out of 435 members of the U.S. House of Representatives for paying salaries and fees to family members, according to the conservative watchdog group, Judicial Watch. A state by state report on all members of Congress, published by the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, reported Hastings paid his girlfriend, Patricia Williams, an attorney who worked as his deputy district director, $622,574 over the four-year period, from 2007-2010.

This is who Blacks send to Congress, overwhelmingly, every time.

Perhaps he is on top of the IQ ladder for his district. That would explain a lot.

He probably did in his mind.

But seriously if he had you can be sure he would have been stripped of his rank and perhaps even thrown out of the Navy, especially since it happened under that arrogant pos former resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Look what he did to General David Petraeus. First he practically demoted him by taking him off as commanding officer of the U.S. Central Command, which coordinates the military's operations worldwide.

Lol! This is the first time I’ve seen that.

The idiot says 200 MILLION slaves were thrown overboard during the slave trade, and, that it “changed the ecology of the oceans”, and, to this day, sharks, over 100 years later, are still feeding on their remains.

>> That Admiral deserves a medal for the way he handled the situation. Agree. If I were the Admiral, I don't know which would have been more difficult: not laughing or not going into shock at the thought that someone could be that stupid. >> That had to have been a very educational moment for them. There are plenty of libs who would have you think that all are benevolent geniuses. When reality collides with their fantasy world, it comes as a big shock. I like to think I have a reasonably good grasp of reality, but even I was shocked at the stupidity level. My initial reaction, after disbelief, was to think that he must have been on drugs. That is giving him the benefit of the doubt - a kinder explanation that to assume he was stone cold sober. It's hard to believe someone could muster up that much stupidity without artificial augmentation.

I like his response to the idiot’s fear of Guam tipping over and capsizing. “We, er, don’t anticipate that happening”. You can read on his face that he’s thinking “what a total friggin moron”.

It will tip over into the ocean from the weight of all the missile strikes and invading Nork soldiers.

“In June 2011, a lawsuit filed by one of his staff members, Winsome Packer, alleged that Hastings made repeated unwanted sexual advances and threatened her job when she refused him.”

Let’s face it, anyone named “Winsome Packer” has to expect to deal with some adversity.
