The problem is less the assumption of power by the judges but is rather the acceptance of that situation as right by the population, including us. Neither the legislature or the Executive dares call out the judiciary. They bitch and tear their hair (sometimes) but accept that what a judge has said is the Word of God, at least until a superior God decides differently. Who still thinks we live in a Republic or a Democracy? This is a joint Oligarchy/Judicial Aristocracy.

The biased judge should have recused herself from this case if she couldn’t control her emotions while wearing the robe.
Judge Larua Kiessling’s statements, if they are a permanent transcript, has made the case for her recall as a judge. Her job is to apply the law and not ignore the law based upon assumptions or tricky evasion arguments.
I blame the video game Carmeggedon. The driver receives bonuses for brutalizing innocent pedestrians in the streets. To win a race, you either finish first, destroy your opponents’ cars, or clear the course of people using your front bumper and four-wheel drive. Include Grand Theft Auto and you have lots of blame to justify your hit-and-run ambitions.
When you get rid of Christianity, the bed rock of a law-and-order society, make video games your religion. That’s the ticket!
