This is just the way the military works and it is also the best way to ensure that the next President does not simply overturn the ruling.

Mattis will now do a serious and exhaustive study of the ability of transgenders to deploy at peak combat efficiency and to maintain that peak efficiency when supply lines for hormone treatments are cut.

How will that prevent the next president from simply overturning the ruling? The longer the policy stays in effect, the harder it will be to ever overturn it.

I personally have no problem with tansgender people, not even with them serving in the military as long as taxpayers don’t pay for the transition surgeries. However the POTUS has issued a legal order, as a military person, the mad dog has no choice but fulfill the order to the fullest. Anything less is insubordination. Potential lawsuit should’t come into the equation at all.

Mental illness is a disqualifier for military service.

My issue is with the Military (Taxpayers) paying for Sex Reassignment Surgery. It should be clear that the Military will not provide or pay for any Elective Surgery, period.

Anyone wanting to Join should have no expectation that their Mental Illness will be cured by Taxpayer Funded Sex Assignment Surgery.

Now I have a couple of questions.

Trump gave him this option. The key point is the US no longer pays for the surgery or drugs which will cause 99.9% of trannys to drop out and no new trannys can apply. This avoids the problem of kicking people out so they can create huge sob stories in the media.

In the pre Obama era, executive orders were generally not overturned by following administrations. This was because the orders were well researched and carefully drafted .

Obviously, Mr Pen and Phone destroyed that tradition, but perhaps things shall return to normal going forward.
