Mueller Seeks White House Documents Related to Trump’s Actions as President
The New York Times ^ | September 20, 2017 | Michael S. Schmidt

Posted on 09/20/2017 12:00:34 PM PDT by Alter Kaker

WASHINGTON — Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel, has asked the White House for documents about some of President Trump’s most scrutinized actions since taking office, including the firing of his national security adviser and F.B.I. director, according to White House officials.

Mr. Mueller is also interested in an Oval Office meeting Mr. Trump had with Russian officials in which he said the dismissal of the F.B.I. director had relieved “great pressure” on him.

The document requests provide the most details to date about the breadth of Mr. Mueller’s investigation, and show that several aspects of his inquiry are focused squarely on Mr. Trump’s behavior in the White House.

In recent weeks, Mr. Mueller’s office sent a document to the White House that detailed 13 different areas that investigators want more information about. Since then, administration lawyers have been scouring White House emails and asking officials whether they have other documents or notes that may pertain to Mr. Mueller’s requests.

One of the requests is about a meeting Mr. Trump had in May with Russian officials in the Oval Office the day after James B. Comey, the F.B. I director, was fired. That day, Mr. Trump met with the Russian foreign minister, Sergey V. Lavrov, and the Russian ambassador to the United States, Sergey I. Kislyak, along with other Russian officials. The New York Times reported that in the meeting Mr. Trump said that firing Mr. Comey relieved “great pressure” on him.

Actually, Rudy Giuliani has publicly stated that Sessions was right to recuse himself.

That's true but how on earth does Sessions justify his continuance in office? DJT did his best to embarrass him out of office but Beauregard stood fast and refused to leave his dream job regardless of the cost to Trump. I thought more of him before this.

Makes you wonder if Sessions is one of those on the inside who wants to topple this presidency.

Your question is pointless and without foundation. How many months have we been into this? If I search long enough, I can find that you mowed 5 inches over onto your neighbor’s lawn and charge you with trespassing. It would be pointless because neither your attorney or the neighbor’s attorney would care. The very fact the you asked such a question, if you know what has been happening, destroys your credibility.

Furthermore, your tag line is abhorrent. How dare you make any disparaging comment about preachers? You might want to study the Bible and listen to more preachers. Don’t want anyone telling you how you should live? Tell it to God. Tell Him off because he gave guidelines for life. Tell him directly. Do NOT make ugly comments about preachers because those of us who have them in our backgrounds love, respect and honor them because we saw them suffer at the hands of people like. Shut your mouth.

I honestly believe the answer to your question is Sessions is a Trojan horse. This situation is so blazingly unconstitutional and dangerous that an ethical AG would put a stop to it immediately. But Sessions is a member in good standing of The Swamp, so he appears all in on enabling this outrageous investigation in search of a crime.

If he had found the tiniest sherd of evidence, it would have been leaked by now.

Trump is the Commander in Chief of the US Military and all federal law enforcement. He’s the leader of the free world whose political support by the fourth and most powerful branch of our government is increasing in the face of all out onslaught on the part of the deep state and Mueller.

Mueller can do nothing.

I am not a dude. Yes, really. Totally. Your comment plus your tag line are uncalled for. We finally have a leader trying to fix the complete breakdown of a country caused by godless people and you come out with that. Get lost.

Be kind of tough for Congress to impeach Trump if he drops a MOAB on them.

Just saying.

Really? Does the FBI act like he is in charge? Does the DOJ or the IRS for that matter. All these agencies continue to fight conservative legal cases against the Federal government. One of them is still headed by a reviled Obama appointee. Mueller is going to cause many officials to lawyer up with untold cost and loss of focus on the agenda. His own family is under attack. Mueller can and will indict some officials. More warrants will be coming. The damaging leaks will continue and Mueller has an unlimited budget and staff and no control over the scope of his activities. Mueller can do plenty.
