Mind boggling and heartbreaking is a good description, especially for Dominica. That’s a way-too-tiny island to be slammed by a Cat 5 hurricane.
This has been a terrible few weeks for so many people and I pray things are going to calm down now.
I pray that they do, too. The islanders need a break already!
Guess I’d best take a sleep break. See ya tomorrow night for some tuneage!

Not just the islanders ..... everyone who’s trying to put their lives back together after three large hurricanes have now ripped through their areas the past few weeks. Plus the people in Mexico who had everything crumble down the other day.
No cool-down for us for a while yet and the humidity isn’t backing off any time soon either. Maybe we’ll get some more rain out of the deal and that works for us. :-)
Catch ya tomorrow evening at some point. I don’t think we’re going out but Hubby might change his mind. Just have to wait and see.

Me, I was exhausted from a long day of painting. I was amazed a could stay up long enough to post the thread.

It’s going OK. Going to go get a haircut later this morning and then Bo and I are going to the lake later today to hunt for turtles.

Hey there, Early Bird! I figured when I was running so late that I’d miss you. I keep trying to get on earlier, but don’t get home till 8 [9 for you] and then have supper and then it’s late.
That’s my story and I’m stickin’ with it.
The clean up on the Texas coast is going to take a very, very long time. There is destroyed household goods on nearly every street from Corpus Christi on one end to Beaumont on the other, the water is still standing in spots and is full of debris and hazardous nasty stuff. I have friends there who lost homes, cars and everything...some are FReepers...and it’s depressing to have to start completely over. Some other friends and family came through it unscathed...thank God for that. But Texas is strong and we have a Governor who is doing everything humanly possible to get things done to make it better. God bless Gov. Abbott and God Bless Texas!
