N.J. mega car dealer pulls TV ads over NFL protests

RARITAN TWP. -- In response to the ongoing controversy surrounding NFL players kneeling during the national anthem, the owner of Flemington Car and Truck Country has pulled the dealership's ads from broadcasts of games for the remainder of the 2017 season.

"The National Football League and its owners have shown their fans and marketing partners that they do not have a comprehensive policy to ensure that players stand and show respect for America and our flag during the playing of the national anthem," Steve Kalafer said in a statement. "We have cancelled all of our NFL advertising on the Optimum and Infinity (cable) networks."

Kalafer is also part of the Somerset Patriots' ownership group, an independent professional baseball team based in Somerset County.

"As the NFL parses the important nationwide issues of 'social justice' and 'freedom of speech,' it is clear that a firm direction by them is not forthcoming," Kalafer said in the statement.

Advertising during the 2018 season will be considered at a later date, he said. Representatives of Optimum and Xfinity could not be reached for comment as of Monday night.

It’s starting. The heavy Mooring Lines are becoming frayed and weak under all the straining.

Overheard my boss in the hallway today - huge traveling Raiders fan but former Air Force - talking about how he started to watch the game the other weekend but had enough of the protesting. Talking about how he had 1 day a week that he could get away from politics but was pissed that he doesn’t even have that anymore. Said he took all of his Raiders gear and threw it out and found that he misses it less than he thought.

Boycott the BLM Criminals in the National Felon League and cut your cable to stop ESPN/Disney/ABC from getting monthly money from your cable bill.

Disney owns ESPN and ABC. The Disney Gays, who control ESPN/Disney/ABC are probably the ones, who started their BLM thugs/slaves, aka National Felon League/NFL thugs kneeling during our anthem. They hate conservatives like you, your family and Tim Allen. Remember, Tim’s show getting cancelled because he was/is a conservative by ABC.

Don’t wait for President Trump or congress to whack these NFL thugs. You can deliver a severe financial blow from your home and save money by doing it.

Disney owns ESPN!

What networks/? does Disney own?:
Disney/ABC Television Group. Disney/ABC Television Group operates Disney’s broadcast television, cable television and radio businesses. ...
ESPN, Inc. ...
Walt Disney Parks & Resorts U.S., Inc. ...
Lucasfilm Ltd. ...
Marvel Entertainment, LLC.

If freepers are really serious about this issue, they can do two things this weekend or next week:

1. Cancel/cut your cable and go to a good internet to stream the tv shows they watch. Disney/ABC/ESPN and the above are owned by Disney. Each month they get a huge share of your monthly cable bill. Cut your cable, and they lose that monthly $* chunk/bite out of your bill. You will save a lot of money each month. *Estimated to be at a minimum of 9$’s/month/user.

2. Use Sling Blue TV for streaming the channels you will watch. Sling Blue does not carry ESPN/Disney/ABC. So, the evil Disney/ESPN/NFL/ABC gay hate America liberals get nothing from you.

Talking tough and posting pompous threats on Free Republic is cheap and not effective.

Cutting their economic tv take at your home is like using a laser guided smart bomb to cut off/destroy their financial tentacles/testicles.

Without their monthly financial take from your cable tv, the NFL will fade away like a bad dose of the GI Trots.

If you really want to smack/hurt ESPN/NFL/Disney/ABC just do #1 and #2 above this week.

You will save a lot of money each month besides feeling better.

I think he has a brother who used to own a bagel shop in Montvale NJ in the 70’s. At the time I owned a retail business a few doors away.

Good. F the NFL. They wanted politics, they have it.

They can have the snowflakes on the left support them.

I called and thanked them for standing up for America. The lady who answered was very nice and asked my name to give to the owner. Here’s the number:

Excellent, proper decision. Advertisers who stick wtih the NFL might very well lose their shirts as people boycott their businesses. They are tarnishing their own reputations by staying with these teams whose owners have proven themselves cowards.

Behind closed doors the owners are in disarray over the kneeling issue.

One faction supports it, the other wants it to stop and another wants the issue to go away..............
