I listen to ESPN on the radio overnight, as it lulls me to sleep-—getting older means lots of fragmented sleep. UGH.
Today, at 3 AM, someone came on & was talking about how Muhammad Ali stood up for his views & refused to join the army & possibly fight.
I realized right away that this comparison is bogus...
CK & the other NFL players are EMPLOYEES. They get a paycheck from a team OWNER.
Ali was Self-Employed. IF he screwed up his earnings with his thoughts & attitudes, he was only hurting himself. also his agent & his promoter—but HE HIRED THEM...NOT the other way round.
Maybe CK should tell all of us how HE intends to buy a stadium—sell the tickets—do the promotion—hire other players—staff the coaching part of the operation & pay all the salaries & taxes involved & have anything left over for his capital investment.
He bought a $14 million house in San Fran. I sure hope he paid cash for it. MAYBE he can afford the taxes & upkeep without an NFL salary.
And playing Amazing Grace would be most appropriate....
I say the NFL is showing itself to be comprised largely of Godless, racist, ignorant, unAmerican, SJW thugs.
