A new poll in Nevada shows incumbent Sen. Dean Heller lagging behind his challenger, businessman Danny Tarkanian.

The JMC Analytics and Polling survey showed Mr. Tarkanian leading 44 percent to Mr. Heller’s 38 percent. The poll found 78 percent of those who participated in the survey were “certain to vote” in next year’s Republican Senate primary and 63 percent have an “extremely favorable” opinion of President Trump.

The Establishment is losing its stranglehold on the electorate.

And we know their playbook. If Heller keeps dropping he will suddenly announce his retirement a la Flake so they replace one yes man with another, in the mean time thwarting the insurgent conservative candidate.

They must protect their precious Senate or all is lost!

Nope. And it’s a long way until the mids. Danny has tried numerous times in the past to run but somehow manages to NOT win in the end. But, there’s no way we Nevadans can have a 2nd dementocrat senator. Bad enough we got puppet of hairy, cat mantos in. No damage yet but she’s still learning the “behind the scenes” activities.

There’s already a serious and popular GOP candidate running for Governor: Attorney General Adam Paul Laxalt.

Only once has Tarkanian gotten the nomination for federal office, that being last year for Congress, and he lost when there was extensive voter fraud that cost Donald Trump, 2 House seats and the Senate race (not to mention the legislature). As I said to someone else, I expect Steve Bannon did enough research before backing Tarkanian (unlike those who backed Angle for Senate in 2010 when it was clear she couldn’t win a general).

He is a loser. Criticized Trump, voted against Trump. LOSER. I’ll vote for challenger in primary. In election, will sit out. Better to have a Dem than a lying “Republican”.

The third member of the Intermoutain Mormon Senate Troika* is about to off himself.

*Urine Hatch is going to ‘retire.” Jeffie the Flake already has. Now Looser Heller. Just hope the Utah Mormons don’t elect $hitt Romney! As a “non-practicing Mormon, while I completely reject their theology, I always thought Mormons were good and decent people. Now, even that notion has been “corrected” by these men and others like Harry Reid.

Elect a businessman, the economy and level of optimism grows. Elect a swamp crearure and the proles have no hope. FU democrats and sub-democrats (Rinos).

The Establishment is losing its stranglehold on the electorate.

Used to be a stranglehold.

Now more like putting a grenade inside a balloon and trying to contain it.

A good point: “we” must have really good candidates, not just someone who waves the tea party banner or who runs on the platform of being “Not Dean Heller”. We’ve seen lousy candidates come and go in the past, and I don’t care how conservative they are - the Buckley Rule must be applied: “the strongest conservative candidate WHO CAN WIN”.

If you can’t win, nothing else matters.

Successful politics requires mastering the art of compromise. Or one can mimic Barry Goldwater and give masterful speeches but never accomplish anything notable.

Someone please provide a list of the three most significant things Barry actually accomplished.

Good and bad. Tarkanian can beat him, but hasn’t had much luck vs. the D opponent.
