While we’re at it, get rid of Delaware. Northern Delaware goes to PA; while southern part goes to MD.

And maybe the "Northern California" section can overwhelm the gay area.

Nope, not even close. The way those lines are drawn, it would guarantee three completely Democrat states instead of one. I'm sure that is their plan. San Francisco would rule Northern California, so absolutely nothing would change for all of the rural folk north of Sacramento.

That is a good idea. Then when the big earthquake hits there will be three sets of hand being held out for $$$$ from the rest of the Republic to rebuild them.

I’m pretty sure the Southern California map would be red. The largest metro area is San Diego and that’s almost red. I’m gonna have to disagree with you there.

I tend to agree with you on the Northern California map. It seems to encompass the entire gay area and I don’t think there’s enough population in the other areas to make up for it. So libs win 2-1.

Get the Conservative parts of the state free and clear of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Marin County...

This pretty much does that.

The Southern California part is the only part that even has a shot at being red, but I doubt it would be. The problem is that even in the “red” areas, it’s not pure red - it’s more like 55%-45% or less red, which means that any included high population center could offset the “redness” of the area easily. The Southern California part of the map includes LA satellites like Anaheim. That whole area can be assumed to be almost pure blue, and San Diego is getting bluer by the day.

You're right about Anaheim and Riverside area. I didn't notice that. That's pretty dense still. I saw Palmdale and I thought they cut it off in the desert. They need tro scootch the line down and suck up that area. And if they moved the northern border up and took in San Jose/Hayward area, that might even things out.

But it sounds like they are ready to send it to referendum as is, so too late for that.

Alright, you've convinced me. There is no redeeming aspect of this plan and I'm against it, as much as I want out of the liberal wasteland that is California.

If you ever want to be totally disgusted and shocked check out gerrymandered districts. These line drawers have decades of expertise in dems strongholds.

Notice how Malibu worked itself out of the jurisdiction of the Coastal Commission. Private beaches here they come.

Ok...do that California and we here in Texas will split into 5 states as we are allowed to do. That will be 8 more GOP senators to your 4. We win.

Yes, I think this would give the Democrats 6 senators instead of 2. There might be a slight chance of a Republican winning in "Southern California" (which extends further north than "California") but immigration will soon kill that.

The northern part should be the long-proposed State of Jefferson. (If Jefferson's name is now too controversial, call it Sierra.)

I would then have the area including the Bay Area, Sacramento, and maybe Santa Cruz as Northern California. Make a state of the counties from Santa Barbara to Orange County (add the parts of Riverside Co. and San Bernardino Co. which are spillovers of the LA megalopolis) and call it Los Angeles. So people can say "LA,LA," like now we have "New York, New York." Then the rest of Southern California would be the remaining state so four in all.

Conservatives would have a chance of electing senators in Jefferson/Sierra and perhaps in Southern California.

I would support a state of Jefferson in a heartbeat.

California wants no such thing, the liberals do.

The proposed State of Jefferson where the whole Bay Area
and Sacramento is excluded from the Northern region
is the only acceptable option. Conservatives everywhere
should get behind that idea.

I’m in!

ALL conservatives from every state need to support
the Jefferson plan. The only other acceptable
alternative is to split California East and West
because the liberal asshole dominate the coast.

“Ok...do that California “....

NO

“Ok...do that liberals of California “....

Fixed it. There are at least 5 million conservative
Californians who want no part of this sham.
