These are the swamp bosses. Both Ryan and McConnell collect more grease then Wildroot Cream oil ever had. Hell, “Dixie Peach” McConnell has to be the GREASE KING.

As far as I’m concerned, both versions are a travesty. I hope both fail. I’d rather keep the disaster we have.

It’s unbelievable that repugs want to tax money that you already paid as taxes!! I don’t think even the Rats would stoop that low.

I look at the data, combined with what we know about net donor states and wonder how anyone can believe support for these Republican plans is anything but class warfare.

Every Congressional district in America has some taxpayers who make use of the SALT deductions, and while some will drop off with the increased standard deduction, very, very few will drop off if their income is over $100k.

Yet I’ve seen several dozen right here on Free Republic who still want to “stick it to those blue states”. And every state in the union, every single congressional district, red or blue, are taking these deductions because they have middle class income, a mortgage and therefore; significant state and local taxes.

When the income tax was first passed in 1913, taxing those monies which were used to pay other taxes was considered a moral issue. Something even the Progressives of the era would not propose.

Now we have a bunch of Social Justice Warriors on Free Republic, many who have probably never itemized a return in their adult lives, demanding these tax plans go forward.

They should now understand, if they are paying attention and not ignoring the data, that it would be their last hurrah at the political level.

There would never be another Republican majority in either House of Congress.

And Trump would be lucky to survive until the 2020 election.

Still, somebody is going to post after this one saying I’m just trying to protect the commies in California.

“This will set the US well down the road to a failed state as the Dems take over, and mandate all their bloody dreams.”

That would be a positive outcome.

I know I would be on the winning side along with millions of other American patriots.

But we surely wouldn’t have any place for hand wringers who think the full-democracy political system is going to somehow stop the hoards of primitives from taking all their sh!t.

Personally, if either of these tax plans get signed into law I will unelect as many Republicans as I can.

We need to get this crisis over with.

A corrupt, one party system with two different uniforms.

And if Hillary runs again definitely vote for her this time around ... let’s get rid of all Republicans so we can move on to “eliminate” or reeducate conservatives ... All hail the State!!

Ryan and Mitch both need a good blanket party.
Love to see their fellow congress critters take em both in to the cloak room, throw a blanket over them both and beat hell out of em.

You are an optimist. If the GOPe succeeds in disenfranchising conservative voters and actually waging war against its own base, it needs to be destroyed and the current government of the US burned to the ground. The all out war against Roy Moore shows just how well the GOP can fight when properly motivated. Unfortunately, we are the enemy of the GOP as they seek to suppress us forever.

Back to my original premise: the US is approaching failed state status which means that most Americans during the ensuing turmoil will die: starvation, murder, thirst, exposure and so on.

Sounds like a great game plan just to satisfy some personal political views - adding to the category “Murder By Socialism”, we will be able to add “Murder by Political Whim”. Ah, the politically self-righteous contemplating the disillusion of America.
