Here is the sound recording of Lil Timmy Snackwell’s last few moments on earth....

Grizzly bears are nothing to fool with.
SSS.
Shoot
Shovel
Shut up.
If the wolf has an electronic monitor, drop it on a truck heading out of state.
We have a lot of wolves up in northern Alberta, real big ones. I shoot em when I see em. Coyotes too and mountain lion. Bears are the only thing I don’t shoot unless it’s being a threat.
Wolves! Shoot ‘em and let ‘em lay!
hmmm. I’m a post-tribber so I’ve been getting prepared for about 50 years. LOL wondered how all the beheadings would happen. Now I know.
True story. Person is a reliable witness.
A warning shot is one less shot you’re going to get at an elusive target moving toward you. What if you have a bolt action rifle, or a scoped rifle? How fast can you chamber the next round, re-aquire the target, and send the next round, accurately? No. Put it down before you are in it’s kill zone.
Oh, and since wolves are cooperative, pack-hunters the hunter would have to assume that other wolves are working around your flanks unseen.
Mr. Game Warden, sir, "of course" I fired a warning shot, but the wolf continued to advance.
The most dangerous to human animal.......deer. Deer don’t look both ways before crossing streets/highways.
The hunter did give a warning ‘shout’ but the wolf refused to listen.
“Deer dont look both ways before crossing streets/highways.”
I don’t think deer or other animals have the visual processing capabilities to see and identify a threat that is moving faster, than, say, a mountain lion. That is why you see these animals all over the highway. To them, it must be as if the threat appeared from a different dimension; sort of a Freddy Kruger for animals.
I watch that DVD from time to time.
“Grizzly Man”
This is the first time I’ve heard
The attack.
You can have actual GUNS in Alberta? I thought Canada had basically outlawed firearms ;-)
Amen to that
Yeah, the attack tape has been out for awhile. Read some of the comments on youtube...lol.
We photographed the mountain goats up on the Beartooth Pass this summer. We stood a very respectful 100 feet away and used a zoom. We also stood close to our car. A healthy respect for ALL animals is always a good plan.

I was hiking in Eastern Washington a few years ago, going down, when a baby mountain goat rushed by me up the trail. The baby was followed by the mom who went past me to follow her young. Got pictures of both of them up close and was glad that the mom did not focus on me but ran past.
let the wolves exist if they can...
but they must fear man and stay away from man....
and that means shooting them if they get too close...
A warning shot? Anything is possible for he who has not to do it.
We have black bear just over 1000 yards from the highway beyond the back pasture. They are not cute, cuddly and friendly. They are hungry and looking for an opportunity at something to eat.
In the case of animal predators it is not guaranteed that the animals would understand or even be affected (the way you want) by the loud noise. Might even make them more aggressive. A "warning shot" into one of the wolves turned out to be a very effective warning to the other two - when they see one of the pack go down, that is a message loud and clear. Plus you are that much closer to having ended the threat.
Warning shots for human predators - an even dumber idea. Discharging a firearm is employing deadly force - you're responsible for every bullet you fire. You (legally and morally) had better not be employing deadly force unless your life or someone else's life is at risk. If there are innocent lives at risk, why the {expletive} are you wasting time with warning shots? Fire to end the deadly threat, period.
In short, no warning shots, no brandishing. If you draw, it is to fire. If you fire, it is center mass - the highest percentage shot to end the threat.
“We have a lot of wolves up in northern Alberta, real big ones. I shoot em when I see em. Coyotes too and mountain lion. Bears are the only thing I dont shoot unless its being a threat.”
Do you have the preposterous “protected species” laws like we do? As far as I am concerned, if I am out in the middle of nowhere I am the law. Any problems obtaining and carrying rifles/pistols where you are?
