Harvey Weinstein had secret hitlist of names to quash sex scandal
The Guardian ^ | 11-18-2017 | Mark Townsend

Posted on 11/18/2017 3:57:57 PM PST by NRx

The Observer has gained access to a secret hitlist of almost 100 prominent individuals targeted by Harvey Weinstein in an extraordinary attempt to discover what they knew about sexual misconduct claims against him and whether they were intending to go public.

The previously undisclosed list contains a total of 91 actors, publicists, producers, financiers and others working in the film industry, all of whom Weinstein allegedly identified as part of a strategy to prevent accusers from going public with sexual misconduct claims against him.

The names, apparently drawn up by Weinstein himself, were distributed to a team hired by the film producer to suppress claims that he had sexually harassed or assaulted numerous women.

The document was compiled in early 2017, around nine months before the storm that blew up on 5 October when the New York Times published a series of sexual harassment allegations against Weinstein.

Individuals named on the list were to be targeted by investigators who would covertly extract and accumulate information from those who might know of claims or who might come forward with allegations against the film producer. Feedback was then to be relayed to Weinstein and his lawyers.

The size of the list – 85 names appear on one document, with an addendum identifying another six individuals – appears to corroborate claims that sexual misconduct allegations against the 65-year-old were an open secret throughout Hollywood.

Prominent stars were among the first tranche of individuals on the list to testify publicly against Weinstein. Among those named were the actress Rose McGowan, who days after speaking out accused the producer of raping her. Another was Laura Madden, who told how Weinstein pestered her for massages at hotels in Dublin and London, beginning in 1991. McGowan and Madden were among the first to speak out against Weinstein...

About a week ago someone speculated on this forum that one or more high ranking DemonRats decided to take Harvey down as a way to get to the Clintons, the idea, being to deprive them of one of their largest financiers. Strikes me as possible, since the Witch has been running around the country like a rabid skunk, attacking as many DemonRats as Republicans and blaming them for her 2016 defeat. A bad thing to have happening when they’re trying to get on message to defeat President Trump.

“So while I abhor what Weinstein has done, I think there’s an untold story, as to why the news media decided to go with his story at this time.”

I agree with you and have been saying this from the start. Why now, after this garbage has been going on for a very long time, did they decide to throw HW under the bus. Who approved it and why? Maybe it’s to draw attention away from the even more abhorrent pedo crimes. Very interesting.

So....Harvey put together his own secret police force.

As a dedicated liberal, Harvey's soooooo tolerant and compassionate and really really gung ho about "free speech."

Harvey musta given a bundle to the ACLU.

What I find interesting is that the article was published in a far left of center paper-The Guardian. Any thoughts anyone?

The left having concluded that Weinstein is no longer the useful tool that he was, has decided to make a spectacle of kicking him to curb. Kinda like the Stalinist show trials of the “old comrades” in the 30’s.

Seems like a lot of men and women can’t keep their lips, hands and other body parts to themselves. Maybe we should somehow treat unwanted harassment as we treat someone breaking into our homes uninvited.
“Stand your ground” and Castle Doctrine come to mind.

Yeah it feels like there was a purpose behind the Weinstein stories being released in October. They could have certainly ran that story years ago.

Michael isikoff had the Lewinsky story. I have wondered if he is CIA. I had a meeting with him in Claremont, CA and presented info to him about Hillay’s campaign finance fraud in her first Senate race (which was the subject of HILLARY! UNCENSORED). He never used the info.

Yes, it is highly likely that this is an attempt to purge Clintons, and Weinstein was a weak link who left too much mess of his own.

Purge frequently starts with taking down close associates of real targets.

Mafia commission is purging its members who have become a big liability

Think of all the time, expense, stress, and money to hire spies to track your victims.
It seems like a lot less effort to just NOT be a dirtbag.

To get the Las Vegas shooting off the news, which waa to get Charlottesville out of the news.

Also to bring out Summer Zerbos and Gloria Allred again against Trump.

Make it look like they had denounced the Clintons so they could then go after Trump.

Also go try to stay in control of which scandals get reported.

The companies he had do his spying and enforcing like Kroll, Inc and Black Cube were very sophisticated Private CIA/FBI organizations and employed ex-CIA, ex-FBI , ex MOSSAD and other intelligence and special operations people

This is beyond sick and amounts to criminal conspiracy and racketeering.

Are these BlackCube guys ‘bad’ Mossad, like our guys who go merc as soon as their training/experience will command the $?

Trying to understand here.

Some are easily corrupted when money, power, and sex is offered. It can happen anywhere. When the name Israel is associated it is worse in that the word for God is embedded in the name and Israel is meant to be a light to the Gentiles, not darkness.

Don’t equate please

Jesus

What not just call it what it is

Oh no we must qualify our guys must be bad too

Blackwater and its offshoots have no been accused of assisting coverup sex crimes yet that I know of

And a fair number have saving your bacon

I’m just sayin

Don’t play the game of always qualifying to offset the obvious

If this is true Mossad has some issues

We don’t have to say well our guys are bad too

This mindset is our biggest problem as a culture
