Next will be a certified letter from Matt Gonzalez to the Steinle family stating proudly that he could not care less about their daughter being shot and killed in our city. Furthermore, he will add that he hopes the pain they feel will last a very long time.

They’ll get it too. It’s not logically consistant to charge him with the gun position if the jury believed accidentally fired the gun while picking it not knowing what it was. Which is why it’s clear this jury was sending a political message with their verdict.

“Gonzalez said his appeal will contend jurors should have been told that “momentary” possession of a gun is not necessarily a crime.”

Under California Law, you can’t even loan a handgun to a friend to use out of your personal sight.

The reason the killer only had “ brief possession “ of the murder weapon was because he had just stolen it out of the unlocked car of a government BLM agent

The killer was member of a drug cartel so, while he may be unskilled with firearms, it's hard to believe he was unfamilar with guns.

His lack of shooting skill may undermine the defense claim he did not intend to shoot the victim, he was just too bad.of a shot

What about the illegal firing of a weapon within city limits.

I think they should also ask for a couple of hundred thousand dollars for inconveniencing him with the prosecution and trial.

In my view this stupid, arrogant Gonzalez character has screwed every illegal alien in the country and is too stupid and arrogant to recognize what he has done.

The bullet bounced off the pier’s concrete ground before striking Steinle in the back and piercing her heart.

concrete ground? What school did the author attend?

It’s the job of a defense attorney to give the best possible defense to his client.

It’s the job of the Jury to reject that defense if the defendant is clearly guilty.

Unfortunately it seems that some on this jury are more interested in playing politics than doing their job

The shithead liberals in cali are going to protect this murder to the very end.

I believe that at this point in time this KILLER should be put in a big federal prison, in the general population, and the guards should all go on a coffee break.

Would be interesting to note how many of the jurors exhibit sudden wealth that they didn’t have before the trial.

Why not award him some citizenship so he won’t have that hanging over his head either...Maybe set him up in a nice apartment so he will no longer be a vagrant...
