I miss Sambos.We used to have a Po Folks restaurant near us. They changed their name to Folks in order to be more culturally sensitive. About a year later the restaurant was gone.

THIS is blackface (that's Mickey Rooney). One of my daughters is black; I showed her this number that the image came from, and explained the concept of the minstrel show. She wasn't offended, and enjoyed the performance.

Absolutely. Is it a free country, or are we to be ruled by witch hunts and political correctness? We're currently living in the age of the latter - it's a repeat of the 17th century with the witch trials. Perhaps someday like the former era we will grow out of it.

Absolutely. Is it a free country, or are we to be ruled by witch hunts and political correctness? I imagine this business is ruled by forces in the market. So sure they're free to dress their serving staff accordingly, but the market might take a dim view of it and their business would likely suffer. And if you want to condemn witch hunts and political correctness for that as well then you are certainly welcome to.

Swastikas are part of history too but I can’t display one. I can own one but to display it as history is only good if I’m running a museum.
