Please give a STERN phone call to @hole Jeff Flake (my despicable senator) who suddenly decided to play coy with his vote, being his usual attention whore self: 602-840-1891 or 202-224-4521.

Please call NOW, put pressure on Flake. Assure him that if he votes no, he will always be remembered as a bitter vindictive Trump-hater. His legacy will be that of a sore loser who stabbed the American economy and THE AMERICAN PEOPLE in the back because of his petty jealousies of Donald Trump.

I give the turtle credit where credit is due.
First the turtle stopped Obama’s choice for SCOTUS.
Which is why Gorsuch sits in the SCOTUS.
Second, success in passing the largest taxcut in history.

I would prefer that the tax bill passes senate WITHOUT Flake. That will retire him permanently from running again.

On the judge issue I agree.

On the taxes, not so much.

He has the majority. He’s done nearly nothing with it.

If this tax bill hadn’t/doesn’t pass, what legislative victories will he have won for us this year? Nothing. What an embarrassment.

Why even have the majority, if this is all we can do with it?

I will grant you, the judicial appoinments are a massive victory, but here again, he has the majority. This isn’t some personal achievement on his part.

As for Goresuch. His actions were crucial and he does deserve credit, and accolades for that.

What bag of feces are they giving us this time? DACA? Obamacare penalty will never be taken away. 2019 is the date it is supposed to stop, when do they ever follow thru on those type of things?

Hopefully Flake doesn’t force a very ill senator McCain to travel to DC.

To me this is just proof that Yertle the Turtle can be effective when HE wants to be. But when an issue does not interest him or his big $ donors tell him they don’t want it he throws his hands up in the air and pretends like he has no power over the Republican Senate caucus. Getting the damned wall built is a perfect example of this.

The bill revokes the tax cuts when? 2020? THAT’S NOT WHAT WE WANT.

“He has the majority. He’s done nearly nothing with it.”

One of the House members on FNC not long ago said that the House had passed more than 350 bills and sent them on to the Senate where that body has only managed to pass something like 35 of them. If there were a way to do it, I would vote to disband the Senate, as they are totally useless and self-serving. as a group.

You nailed it, but that applies to most all congress critters. They can not afford to make their big donors angry. Yes, even so called conservatives like Cruz have
big donors who want their agenda fulfilled.

Which was one of the reasons I supported Trump from the starting gate, because he did not need big donors.

There have been many ads on TV here in Phoenix urging Flake to vote NO.

On first blush, that sounds terrible. I wonder what the normal flow of business looks like. Is this more the norm than we have known it to be?

That would seem impossible, but I do not know for sure, the full dynamics of this situation.

You’re right to repeat and urge study of this issue.

I could be that the Senate is being run in a terrible manner.

I’m not sure what the case is here, but I do agree it looks bad on the surface. It may be.

Correction: A ‘victory’ can only be declared upon review of these judges’ ruling(s) (’decrees’ & ‘edicts’? then it’s been a miserable failure).
