Forget walmart the Chinese are cutting them out and mailing direct to consumer from China now. I’ve seen some very slick chicom online retail ads recently. You’d never guess it was a Chinese company.
Our industries have been shifting from the U.S. to Europe, Asia, and South America ever since the end of World War II. And since then almost every President has stepped it up. When I was a kid, there were factories all over the country. Now, they’re all gone.
Germany is bitching about less than a 1% return on all that.

Well, obviously if you are trying to hold Europe up as an example of a superior welfare state to our own, then this kind of “tax competition” is grossly unfair and a deliberate attempt to make Socialism look bad. :)
