Apparently God has a sense of humor about those that abandon his teachings. :)

In your state?

I think a lawyer would have to weigh in on my comment to be sure. But I believe any person over the age of 18 has the right to sign legal contracts *unless* he/she has been declared "incompetent" by a court. And if I'm basically correct on this my guess would be that it's pretty much the same in all 50 states.

But for the grace of God it could have been any of us. Pity the old man.

Whether the much-younger sex object is same sex or opposite sex, the advice is the same: do NOT expect the gold-digger to stay around after getting the gold.

It could not have been me. I am incapable of trusting Romanian toy boys.

There are elder abuse laws in many states now that do not require the person be declared incompetent. These laws probably came about because of the increasing abuse of the elderly in recent times.

Yup,I understand that. However I wonder if such laws would apply here.As I said before I think a lawyer should weigh in on this to see what recourse,if any,a person in this country would have in a situation like this.

Yikes. Speaks a bit too much, in fact, doesn't it?

As William F. Buckley put it, "The love that dare not speak its name has become the love that will not shut up!"

You think too much of yourself. My intention was to simply glorify God’s grace, that’s all.
I still think it is terrible what happened to the old man.

It is dreadful, and I agree that we can all fall, often in ways which seem too foolish and unlikely. But in this case, really, the vicar was making disgraceful choices which could only end in disaster.

So we must all pray for him, and for our own sinful, deluded selves. You are quite right to remind me of this.

I am in no position to correct you in any way and it is not my intention to do so.
Sorry.
