I didn't know Jones had a gay son (who obviously hates VP Pence, and probably all Republicans). What a mess this whole situation has become... all because of the lousy Sessions appointment as AG. :-(

Yes, it's a dumb article. However, if Mike Pence plans to run for President after Trump's second term, we all have to brace ourselves for ferocious attacks from gays and from anybody who has gay friends and family members. I live in NYC and otherwise mild-mannered people, including moderate Republicans, are irrational on the subject of Mike Pence. “He scares me”, they say. They are threatened and offended by Pence's stand against gay marriage to degree I've never seen before. I am guessing it is Pence's obvious decency and mild temperament that really make them unhinged: they cannot chalk up his opposition to homosexual behavior and gay marriage to his being “crazy”. So, get ready, folks. You can expect that people you consider friends are going to engage in a sort-of blackmail in a few years, forcing you to choose between supporting Mike Pence and remaining friends with them. It is going to be different than it was with Trump, and, in some ways, worse.
