This strategy worked SO well for the Soviets. Counter low productivity by removing incentives for productivity.
Why, oh why aren’t the Chinese, Cubans, North Koreans, Vietnamese, and Cambodians coming to the aid of their socialist brothers in need?
The stupidity of a socialist knows no bounds.
How stupid do you have to be to be a socialist?
Capitalism (with all it’s flaws) works. Socialism doesn’t.
PBS this past Friday - Watched a Liberal idiot College Professor explain that the Economic problems in Venezuela were the fault of the Right wing who working against the Government. Made me really happy that our tax dollars still support PBS.

IIRC the running Soviet joke was “we pretend to work and they pretend to pay us.”
Venezuela is another perfect example of what happens when a nation pursues the dream utopia.
The free market is and always will be the only way to go.
Im actually loving this socialist soap-opera

What is the difference between Nazi socialism and Communist socialism?
No one says real Nazi socialism has never been tried.
Wow. Clearly the leftists have no clue about replacement costs, realized expectations, or inventory control. This policy is little different than filling a pot with water, welding the lid on, and then crank up the heat. Everything looks fine...for a while.
Bingo
You get what you vote for. Whats the surprise?
And when stores no longer will sell food at reduced prices they’ll just close - maybe Madoro will force stores to stay open but with empty shelves. Why produce food at below cost of what it takes to make it?

Yep. I read an article about that recently. Venezuela has instituted price controls on all common types of bread. So to get around that, bakers have been producing ersatz bread, using odd ingredients.
These fake breads can still be found on shelves. Because nobody wants them.
