“Made me really happy that our tax dollars still support PBS.”...

How much of those tax dollars go to assist the people of Venezuela via the back door, it any?

Lower prices, and empty shelves.

“I guess Maduro doesn’t expect to be around for long. He’s going to make the shortages even worse.”

Find Maduro’s assets and freeze them.

Maduro’s assets are in a series of numbered accounts, in a Cayman Islands bank. Oddly, they are only a few digits after some being kept for a “Barry Soetoro”...

“Mobs gathered outside some Caracas supermarkets on Saturday after the government ordered shops to slash prices, creating chaos as desperate Venezuelans leapt at the chance to buy cheaper food as the country’s worsening economy causes severe shortages.”

that will work exactly one time ... after that, the stores will be empty forever ...

We're talking Libs, here. Democrats were shorted, with not enough memory cells. They are always surprised that the Sun appears, every morning. It would be sad, were they not so strident about their supposed intelligence...

It’s about time for the Venezuelan people to initiate the Ceausescu protocol on Senor Madura.

Maduro is step-by-step making the country's problems worse with his decisions.

Ordering stores to slash prices, will eliminate the incentive to buy more goods because store owners just lose more money.

But those products on those ever-emptying shelves, will be even emptier with products that are really cheap however. :-)

Food stuffs that are cheaper but not available is a good PR move by Maduro but not for Venezuela's citizens who need the food to survive.

Yep... because the strongest incentive is a growling stomach.

Products will soon be impossible to find, at any price. Businesses will fold, since they will be losing money.

Maduro could easily solve this problem by murdering a few million kulaks. After all, that policy worked the last time.

Hey, great idea. Why not just make the stores give away everything for free? Then there wouldn't be any inflation at all. Move over, Paul Krugman, I'm gonna write about economics for the NY Times.
