An award-winning broadcast journalist and book author has revealed that she was fired from her job for criticizing political Islam and warning Icelandic people about its dangers.
Christine Douglass-Williams, who authored “The Challenge of Modernizing Islam,” has documented her ordeal in a report titled “Canada: Islamist-Leftist-Government alliance silences free speech at the Gatestone Institute.”
“For writing and warning about political Islam, I was terminated as a director at the federal government’s Canadian Race Relations Foundation (CRRF), an agency usually at arms-length from the federal government,” she begins.
The punishment followed a “threatening letter” from Heritage Minister Melanie Joly regarding commentary she had submitted to Jihad Watch, a website that focuses on the threat from Islam and its politics.

I suspect this is true, but there is also a lot of monkey see; monkey so action on the Left. They are Collectivists afterall and if their seminars say come down on someone who even hints that Islam is associated with terrorism or deceit must be dealt with harshly, then we must be dealt with harshly according to these lib/commies.
The woman who complained is Trudeau’s gal..........”Melanie Joly” is a ‘Liberal’ serves as the Minister of Canadian Heritage in the present Cabinet, ‘headed by Justin Trudeau’.
In 2013, she was appointed to head the Quebec Advisory Committee for Justin Trudeau’s leadership campaign.....
In 2015, Joly left municipal politics and announced her candidacy for the nomination of the Liberal Party of Canada in the new electoral district of Ahuntsic-Cartierville for the 2015 federal election.
She must have been appointed by the previous government, Liberals would never appoint somebody with those views to anything but perhaps a defective parachute testing program.
And Ms Joly would be the minister in charge of that so-called arms’ length government agency (an oxymoron in Canadian terms, no such thing has ever existed up here).
These are all little backwaters for patronage appointments, the expected work rate is zero and the impact on the real world negligible. So just a standard case of previous patronage appointment cancelled, they need a pretext, can’t just say you’re not one of us, gone. But that’s what it means.
