House Report Concluded Pakistanis Made ‘Unauthorized Access’ To Congressional Servers (Rosiak)

House investigators concluded that Democratic IT aides made unauthorized access to congressional servers in 2016, allegedly accessing the data of members for whom they did not work, logging in as members of Congress themselves, and covering their tracks, according to a presentation summarizing the findings of a four-month internal probe.

Their behavior mirrored a “classic method for insiders to exfiltrate data from an organization,” and they continued even after orders to stop, the briefing materials allege. There are indications that numerous members’ data may have been secretly residing not on their designated servers, but instead aggregated onto one server, according to the briefing and other sources. Authorities said that the entire server was then physically stolen.

When acting on the findings, Democratic leadership appear to have misrepresented the issue to their own members as solely a matter of theft, a comparison of the investigators’ findings with Democrats’ recollections and a committee’s public statement shows, leading 44 Democrats to not conduct protective measures typically taken after a breach — including informing constituents whose personal information may have been exposed. The presentation, written by the House’s Office of the Inspector General, reported under the bold heading “UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS” that “5 shared employee system administrators have collectively logged into 15 member offices and the Democratic Caucus although they were not employed by the offices they accessed.” It found indications that a House “server is being used for nefarious purposes and elevated the risk that individuals could be reading and/or removing information” and “could be used to store documents taken from other offices.” The server was that of the House Democratic Caucus, a sister group of the DNC that was run at the time by then-Rep. Xavier Becerra.

The aides named are Imran Awan, his wife Hina Alvi, his brothers Abid and Jamal, and his friend Rao Abbas, Pakistani-born aides whose lives are filled with reason for concern. Abid’s Ukranian wife Natalia Sova and Haseeb Rana were also involved in the Awans’ activities but departed the House payroll prior to the investigation.

It has recently emerged that Pakistani national (House Democrats' IT) Imran Awan---suspected of stealing US intel---had a secret email address, 123@mail.house.gov, that was not turned off when he and the crew were banned from computer use by Capitol Hill police.

Imran worked IT for Carson.

Imran's secret email address used the name of an employee for Rep. Andre Carson, a Muslim in Congress, who specializes in US intelligence matters, according to court documents.

Imran and Carson were observed playing video games in Carson's office. One savvy freeper says it it possible to send intel surreptitiously using video games.

The Awans carefully planned their treasonous schemes. They infiltrated Virginia L/E.....had House Democrats under their thumb.....and took in millions of tax dollars all at the same time. With Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Usman E. Rafi (referenced below), their confederate in L/E, the Awans car scams hummed along smoothly.

(HAT TIP LUKE ROSIAK) Abid Awan was "managing partner" of the car dealership at the same time he was cashing US govt checks---as a US govt employee earning $160,000 handling IT for House Democrats. Abid would frequently simply go across the street to long-standing dealership called AAA Motors and get cars.

AAA's owner Nasir Khattak told a court: “If AAA (lends) a car to CIA, it was simply take the AAA car across the street to CIA and sell it, and maybe give the profit back.....or not. There was no documentation....you will not be able to make any sense out of them because there were dozens and dozens, of cars transferred between the two dealerships and between other people.”

“All of those transactions was to support Cars International A using AAA Motors,” he testified. “That’s why I did not make any money from my AAA dealership because my resources were supporting Awans' Cars International A.” Khattak did not explain to the court, or to the press, why he would ruin his own existing business to help the Awans.

REFERENCE---A Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Deputy --- Deputy First Class (DFC) Usman E. Rafi, 37 --- was charged with two Felony counts of using computer to gather identifying information (VCIN violation), thirty counts of dealer violations (misdemeanor) and thirty counts of open title violations (misdemeanor).

Rafi turned himself in. He was released on an unsecured bond. L/E found that between May, 2014 to November, 2016, the deputy used his official position to obtain information for the sale and resale of used vehicles. Further, the deputy used his access to the Virginia Criminal Information Network (VCIN) to assist with the transactions.

DFC Rafi is a ten year veteran of the department. NOTE WELL: That's right about the time the Awans were hired by Debbie Wasserman Schultz to IT House Democrats.

Alvi left a solid evidentiary paper trail......she's on-record having signed in to use the H/D/C server fewer than 300 times.

When asked about his IT employee, Imram's pal, Rao Abbas, Missouri Democrat Emmanuel Cleaver said, “Who? I don’t even know him.” Cleaver stupidly added that his chief of staff put Abbas on Cleaver's payroll apparently without Cleaver's knowledge or consent.

Also unknown to him? Democrat Emanuel Cleaver, at one point, had five of the six members of the Awan group, including Rao Abbas, on his House payroll....all cashing US govt paychecks.

Rao got fired from fast foodie, McDonald's, but Abbas mysteriously got on Cleaver's US govt payroll as an IT and got paid $85,049 tax dollars in 2016.

Besides Cleaver, Rao Abbas was raking in the bucks, on the House payroll of (A) former Florida Democrat Cong Patrick Murphy, and (B) Democrats Cong Charlie Crist of Florida and (C) Jacky Rosen of Nevada, who took office in January.

NOTE: Some fellow IT observers say they never saw Rao on the job in Congress.
