Oh, lawdy.
I had no idea about the circus visiting the Vatican and thought it was notable because I didn’t think others knew that either. The Daily Mail article says a circus has been coming every few weeks under Francis. It’s hard to understand, too, professed Christian leaders bringing in circuses, especially with Christians being persecuted in other places. Many churches in the West do things like this.
I think the Pope is purposely trying to humiliate Ganswein by forcing him to si there and watch this tripe.
And I have to wonder, too, come to think of it, if circuses might be a vehicle for sex trafficking, including child sex trafficking. I never considered it before, but now just come to think of it as I type this, I think I saw some something just the other day about a sexual abuse scandal in an Australian circus.
Little boys in tights?
The circus has been coming for years, I remember it in John Paul’s time. They usually do it around New Year’s/Epiphany. I rather doubt that it is a cover for child sex trafficking, usually performers are family groups.
Well, I understand. Perhaps the DM article is wrong, but they make it sound like it’s frequent. And on the matter of family circuses, that doesn’t mean much. If parents are pedophiles, they can be involved in trafficking their children or selling pornographic pictures of them. That’s sadly not unusual.
He’s just happy to see an animal (elephants) that leave a bigger pile of poop behind everywhere they go, than he does.
So let me understand this: women have to wear black, with a high neck, long sleeves and a long skirt (no pants) plus cover their hair with a veil in order to visit the Pope, but male athletes can perform nearly nude. O,K.
“He’s a Jesuit, Commie, Queer.” Sad but true.
Circuses have been visiting Rome for years. Bergoglio is an empty suit and pretending to be important.
That’s depressing and I’m not Catholic.
He shows a circus group more attention than he did our President and First Lady.
Francis has done as much damage to the Catholic Church as Obama did to America. No wonder they got along together so well. They are a kindred spirit.
The Church is going to need its own version of Trump to step in and pick up the pieces after the disastrous Francis is finally gone. Assuming there’s anything left to salvage.
