The Hill ^ | Feb. 12, 2018 | Naomi Jagoda

President Trump on Monday rolled out a White House budget that includes deep cuts to some federal agencies, an increase in funding for the Pentagon and $18 billion for a wall on the Mexican border.

It includes proposals to cut deficits by more than $3 trillion over a decade and lower debt levels as a percentage of the gross domestic product, but does not balance by doing away with annual deficits.

Because we have Russia, China, North Korea and Iran flexing. Whenever the Pentagon “cuts” a budget, it falls on the backs of the troops. They aren’t canceling boondoggle projects or bases that have outlived their usefulness. Don’t do what the Clinton’s did to us, where ammo had to be rationed. Yes, I agree with bringing our folks home, but what happens when the balloon goes up? We have a responsibility, until NATO is disbanded to react and deploy.

A presidential budget is a political document. There are more votes to be gained in this country from spending money than from not spending money, so Trump’s budget promises massive increases in IDENTIFIED spending, and massive cute in UNIDENTIFIED spending. Congress that has to actually wield the scissors cannot do it, because the VOTERS want all of this spending to happen, and thanks to global pools of capital, none of us really believe we will ever have to pay for any of it with taxes.

But someday someone will, probably by a 90% devaluation of the currency, and thus the debt. But that may be decades from now. Party on Wayne.

“Many federal agencies — including
- the State Department,
- the Environmental Protection Agency and
- the Interior Department
— would see budget cuts compared to the fiscal 2017 enacted level.

“Some agencies and programs — such as the
- Corporation for Public Broadcasting,
- the National Endowment for the Arts,
- the TIGER grant program for infrastructure projects and
- the Community Development Block Grant program
— would be eliminated.”

Great news. Hope it passes and becomes law.

Let’s follow up soon with the elimination of these also...

Department of Health and Human Services ($1 TRILLION budget!!!)
Department of Energy
Department of Education
Department of Labor
Department of Agriculture
Department of Commerce
Department of Housing and Urban Development
Department of Transportation
The 440 unconstitutional Federal Administrative Agencies including
EPA
FCC
SBA (Small Business Administration)

Our Goal to MAGA: RESTORE OUR FREE CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC!

My idea?

Kill the VA and put all vets who qualify on Medicare! Would save billions, create competition, give much higher quality and quicker care!

Well that’s a start, ten trillion over 10 years would have been much better.

A lot of that money goes to government worker wages. I’m all for cutting the government, but people need to be aware that the economy and government spending have a symbiotic relationship.

If you cut the government by $3 trillion, it’s gonna affect the economy, taxes and unemployment rate in a very, very big way.

I’m still for it, but it’s gonna leave a mark, and a lot of Americans will not let it happen without putting up a serious fight. “Buy ammo and grow a garden”, is all I’m saying...

Refresh my memory?

Last year he called for:

HHS - 18% decrease
Transportation - 13% decrease
State - 29% decrease
Education - 13.5% decrease
HUD - 13.2% decrease
Agriculture - 21% decrease
Labor - 21% decrease
Commerce - 16% decrease
EPA - 31% decrease

And on and on. How many of those agencies saw an actual decrease in their funding?

Oh ye of little faith, try to get with the program will ya.
...........................................................

Those of little faith suffer from more than knocking knees. I think many of them are on a Democrat regimen. They certainly aren’t exercising their gray-matter.
Thanks for your support of our President. Too many Freepers seem to search for chances to hurt him. They expect a push button solution to everything.Yeah, their solution seems to be: “just stick the problem in the microwave a minute and it will be done.”

“Let’s send PATRICK MORRISEY to the US Senate!!!

West Virginia deserves better representation than the execrable Joe Manchin.”

West Virginia supplied the highest plurality of Trumep voters than any state. Yet Manchin, the thrid senator from New York State voted against Trumps’s 2 signtur issues, ending Obamacare and the tax bill. Doneely or any Republican opponent only needs one visual ad in the campaign contrasting all the congressional Republicans clapping during the State of the Union with Manchin sitting stonefaced among the likes of Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi. He’s toast in the state particularly when Trump comes to campaign for his opponent..

It would be truly revolutionary for Congress to make cuts to Federal spending.

Federal spending is how those in Congress have gotten so very, very rich on a middle class income.

I try to be “understanding” and think it’s just whipped dog syndrome.

After years of just that type of action by D.C., sometimes that is the only reaction they can come up with.

But that is why the rest of us have to pull them up and tell them to get a grip.
